- Essex - American Tier X aircraft сarrier. The first Essex-class aircraft carriers were ordered as part of the Navy's expansion program of 1938. The decision to construct more ships in the series was made after the Pacific war had broken out. The Essex-class aircraft carriers were significant for several reasons. They were large and fast; had strong air defenses; could carry and launch a large air group rapidly; and, importantly, they were available in substantial numbers. Through a combination of these qualities, they played a pivotal role in the U.S. Navy's achievements in the Pacific during the final 2 years of World War II.

That FDR clearly doesn't know what a fighter consumable even is, and that he can just despawn his planes to not lose a single fighter. CV players simply aren't used to actually being confronted by the enemy CV player, so the FDR probly didn't even know why he was losing his planes. Props for using the smoke to save your division teammate. Too bad that gimmick still doesn't make these CVs "support" - if they added manual fighters, that would be an effective support.
No...i fought an essex in my malta yesterday and there is something going on there... i didnt even touch the patrol area and essex fighers came screaming at me... it happend multiple times to the extent i got deplaned in a malta!
Don't panic - when the battlepass ends, and the Yorktown and Essex are no longer for sale their fancy fighter gimmick will get hit by the nerf hammer, just like all premiums do once enough people buy em. No way Wargaming is gonna give us fighters that actually work (atleast not in a grindable tech tree ship).
Besides that FDR went straight through the bubble, nothing strange about that.
There is a skill that reduces the time it takes for fighters to lock on

I wonder, what is that gass thingy the plane release after take off. is that skill or talent?? does it takes any effect to the aircraft?
Jet booster, gives the aircraft a good boost after takeoff.

Every time he flew by close to throw his fighters, the FDR could've done the same but he didn't.
Because you're not supposed to. The FDR isn't that good because if you will get caught by fighters you can just recall your planes and if you do it quick enough you wont lose anything. But fighters are supposed to be used for spotting mainly. So since the FDR doesn't have special fighters like the essex. he shouldn't be using them to hunt down the other cv's planes@@meganoobbg3387

Either Essex fighters are buffed or its the honeymoon phase that allows WG to pad the stats (ie better initial RNG). I got Yorktown on the first battlepass phase, though ita great for support, overall damage is less then Hornet and Enterprise

I think they have interceptors which can’t spot, or regular fighters and FDR planes are to slow to escape them.
Not really, support carriers fighter consumable is only slightly better - +2 fighters, +0.5 more km range, and twice faster cooldown than regular CV fighter consumable. However all of these advantages are irrelevant, cuz its still a passive consumable - it can be thrown wherever you think the enemy CV will send his planes, but he can still just go around them. The enemy FDR player was simply too dumb to despawn his squadron, and just send a new one.
Jet fighters. 3 seconds to engage enemy fighters while normal cv fighters took 6secs and fdr planes are slow
@@denizozsakarya3378 Irrelevant - if the FDR actually used his own fighter consumable, the Essex too would've been forced to either go around them, or despawn his squadron. The problem is a good CV player can still force you to waste your fighter consumable, than still just go around it and attack the many other ships outside the fighters range. Manually controlled fighters like back in RTS, would've been a better support.
@@meganoobbg3387 Essex fighters are incredibly powerful due to having enhanced reaction baked in meaning you can put them directly over enemy planes and they have to recall instantly. They are extremely powerful and completely neuter a Roosevelt by forcing it to recall all of its planes all the time, as he did at the very beginning, while Essex keeps playing.
The carrier is very overpowered.
How did he get essex so fast?
He bought the packs for Rhode Island and got enough tokens for it (We’re in the same clan)
As someone who has been a #1 player of Midway some times on NA and ASIA on Suihei Koubo, I don't think this Essex player is good at all. Still looked naive torpedo bombing and failed to attack with rockets some times.

Нет, просто он не должен наносить урон. Он поддержка. Вижу связку essex+ Forrest Sherman. Авик светит и ставит дымы, а эсминец заливает по кд всё что видит

Worst CV Gameplay i’ve seen since few years… DF is that replay 🤌🏻🤦🏻♂️ I’ve just made 179k / Kraken in ranked on my first game ever with Yorktown, should I send the replay ? 😅
