6:18 I think in the book, Ron or maybe Harry guesses that the mirror was actually Penelope’s, who, as you say, had been in the library at the time. Penelope was a half blood so that’s why Hermione knew she had to tell her, since Harry had been hearing the voice saying it was going to kill again just moments before, as they headed back from breakfast for the quidditch match. But she runs off to the library immediately after Harry hears the voice-leaving Harry and Ron guessing as to what she’s thinking this time-to double check, probably because she had only read about them in passing before and wanted to be sure. I reckon Hermione already suspected that the monster may be a basilisk, but she couldn’t think of how something that huge was getting around unseen- until just then when Harry could hear it and something clicked. Hermione says “I think I’ve just understood something!” Before running off to the library, so I think she must have just then realised that it was travelling via pipes. That’s something I’m sort of annoyed the film doesn’t show, because it just sort of randomly happens that Hermione went to the library just before Harry’s match, got petrified, and just happened to have a mirror with her when she realised the monster was a basilisk (well, the implication is she already knew, and brought the mirror for protection. But it doesn’t explain why she wouldn’t have told the boys). They also removed all references to the roosters in the films (other than a few deleted or included scenes where Hagrid has them, depending on which version of the film you’re watching), so it feels even less likely that film Hermione could’ve randomly realised all this and that the basilisk must’ve been travelling through pipes at the time, compared to the book where it’s much clearer.
Also at 10:16 you say Harry is not the one who attacks Snape and that it was actually Hermione, but I think it was actually all three of them who stunned Snape at once, which is what caused him to fly across the room and be totally knocked out?
10:37 also I wanna add this only happens in the movie. In the book, Lupin runs off into the forest because Sirius hurts him, and not because of any howl. Future Harry and Hermione at this point are running back to Hagrid’s hut because Harry realises that Lupin will run into the forest, right where they were hiding. They go to Hagrid’s hut and from there, while Hermione is distracted with Buckbeak, he tells her he is going outside to keep watch of what’s going on, but instead Harry goes alone to where the dementors were and saves his life with the patronus, since he knows Hermione will not allow him to interfere with events.

im SO glad you asked bc i should prob make a vid on my tiktok about this but a kneazle (sorry i never corrected that closed caption i misled u on that spelling) but its a magic cousin of the cat with really big ears and tails BUT the coolest part is that they are exceptionally intelligent and have an incredibly strong sense of untrustworthy individuals and are capable of guarding homes. their whiskers could also be used for wand cores but they aren’t very strong. they are also only good pets to owners who earn their trust and loyalty
