I'm thinking that if they do remake the map to be more geographically and historically accurate, the map may have new objectives because the distance from the fortress and the sea is a lot farther in real life. And I think it would be nice for Vardohus to be longer. On the other leaked map, I think it looks like the town of Austerlitz or Plancenoit which is very intresting.

Theory: They might make an “Late map” on lore that we are just civilians, they would have irregular guns and weapons. The objective would go like this: “You start on an House(barn,church, etc…) we are the last wave of civilians to go”, their whole objective would be making into some army evac station. Or! We can have the whole part of the Catacombs end!!!1!1!q

i would love to get horses in G&B but not as a class, but more of an objective "item" maybe while getting out of vardohus, you gotta traverse through the though winter while zombies are coming from the sides and from behind, if you arent fast enough and stay with the group you would get killed. and basically you gotta swing your meelee from side to side while following a road for example (i made this up in like 5 secs fyi)

I think the new big update will come out in April or May, because the first Kaub Image (the staircase) was uploaded in October 18th and the Christmas update came out in December 23th (or 22th).
Oh well me i hope it before i go back to school so before 8 days, because it look so epic cant wait until it come out

I think that the map will be somewhere in Eastern Europe: Czechia Hungary or Poland because if you look at the houses they have the typical Slav style roofs which irl would make the house be able to withstand the pressure from the snow and most likely it will be in Poland due to the church on the picture looking very Catholic and not orthodox (Poland is one of the only catholic Eastern European countries)
@@gasmaskman1354 I don't remember any location of north spain that have some time that looks like this, but i am looking in google and have some place in border of the spain and france have some mountains region, so probably this is more logic since the Spain already have be mentioned in lore and have some peaks already shows Spainish Regiments. Probably this time the Spain will be finally a nation playable in the game.

they should totally add a Yakutsk map. imagine how fun it'd be to freeze to death with 19 other people whilst fighting zombie hordes.
The room that you mentioned thinking that it's the lighthouse is the overpass near the spawn. You go directly under it after you fire the rocket to dig the path to the docks, but you don't actually get to access it. It even has working doors (I am assuming because the zombies can break them.) and a fully modelled room in the current version of Vardohus, but it is inaccessible.
I think the soldier on the bed is going to be a companion that will help us do the other objectives but die when we reach the building that looks like a barn due to some shamblers eating him alive while you are distracted looking for the key. But this will probably not happen due to the coding and amount of time it takes and hiring a VA or not for the soldier.

Yo jmt I remember that there was another sneak peek a few days after Kaub released that a ton of people said was a Russian map bc of the church, but after these new sneak peeks especially the last one with the houses I believe that the new vard will include the actual town that the fort is located relatively near to
The room with the many beds is probably the somewhat barn or wth it is that poeple always camp during vardo endless just my theory

If you turn up your brightness up on the new chapel/trench area, you can still see the lighthouse in the same position in the current vardo in the background
3:36 thats the area above the start of the digging of the trench i recognised it
The one that looks like a new map is the town with the large church and tower that k remember from blood and iron (I forgot the name)

Hey i think i got some theorys on why vardo is remastered
1:The map is short consisting of 7 objectives
2: 1 Life only no respawn making it short but hard they might add a respawn place
3: at normal mode 25 francs and at hardcore mode 35 maybe they're making it a 50-25 francs and hardcore 75-50

I have a feeling that the new map could be a third encounter with the HMS Undaunted crew after San Sebastian. Without their captain, surely they'd be stuck on land.

I think that no matter what, Vardohus is always gonna be inaccurate. Because the trench that leads to the gate, well it's not a trench. It's just a short path and the gate is also offset. And there is no chapel or anything of the sorts outside the fortress before the gate. Not to mention, the path that which we exit Vardohus leads to a small town, not straight to a port. So, unless they're planning to remake this map entirely, I don't think this map will be any more historically accurate than it already is. That's to say, the fort itself.

I did get to play the original vardohus fortress and it was pretty boring but fun at the same time and mega easy

mainly the reason why I dont watch JMT is his big stupidity despite having 200 hours he doesn't know that the building isn't the lighthouse instead the room up the archway where you have to cross to get to the church
