Its amazing to see how he appreciates the staff and take photos with them and their excitement.. notice how local tourist dont even say a word to the staff... I remember being this very hotel 2 years ago and have amazing conversations with few staff and even tipped them a healthy amount for their amazing service too..
this makes me so hungry. wish i could get a breakfast remotely as good as this

You see there is a saying among we Sri Lankans. "Eat like king for your breakfast and like a begger for Dinner".
There is a reason why Sri Lankan Breakfast is abit heavy. You see Sri Lanka is a agricultural country. They work hard in the paddy fields during through out the day. So the breakfast is the most important meal of the day...
And taking a light meal for dinner helps them to stay healthy...

Hi Davud, Very often I watch your You Tube travel documentaries, which are very intersting. I watched your clip about the breakfast at the Cinnamon Wild Yala which you presented well. As a person in the travel trade in Sri Lanka, I enjoyed watching it. If I,m allowed to explain one thing you did not know, about the Sago porridge which we Sri Lankans have for breakfast, after lunch & dinner as a dessert with palm jaggery. Your porridge was boiled in water with palm jaggery added to it. The Brittanica encyclopedia explains: Sago, food starch prepared from carbohydrate material stored in the trunks of several palms, the main source being the true sago palm, metroxylon sagu, which is native to the Indonesian archipelgo.
