Mr. Trimble had a heck of a nice lineup of tractors. Hope he and the Mrs. have a great retirement.
I expected the 1468s to bring big money, but $17,000 for an 856? Someone really wanted that.
Maybe about half the value was the loader. Looks like it was barely used and that model is considered the best loader made by IH.

There worth the money these older tractors will be working when all the new computer tractors are getting serviced by the laptop to much electrical on the new ones for dust and water to get on them
I agree with You-I'm from Lower Bavaria my Heart beats for US tractors since I wos a kid-I got a tattoo of a 300hp Prototype Steiger Jaguar 2wd on my right arm with the American flag-I'm not talking flunky!!! Fuck those Conecting tractors. I want back Magnum series 7000/8000....There's a sad story bout a 7210 Magnum that could have been Mine...dosen't matter-That's life-I was driving JD series 55 when I wos a Teenager working for a JD Dealer where I was "learning" parts Service at that time. Those been US tractors FULLPOWERSHIFTERS🎱🖤🇺🇸♠️Young tractor drivers laugh about those tractors...Hope they don't loose their laughing when POWERSHIFTERS grab theier Ass ☠️🎱🇺🇸

Boyd W at those prices, no one was bidding to farm with them. Take that $30k and put it towards a decent magnum.
They don't make them like that anymore. That sounds like a lot of money for them, but there one owners in good shape. Well cared for and You don't have to have a laptop to work on them. There's a lot of life left there. They don't have all the fancy of new, but that's not even a down payment towards new.
Those tractors will probably get restored and be in somebody's collection being they are 1468's. Unique low production tractors with the weak DV550 engine. I'd like to own one, but I wouldn't want to put it to work. You'd be better off with a 1466 as a working tractor.

proper maintenance and straight body panels go a long way, oh, 1 owner to boot.
