Why Are So Many Youtubers Unhappy?

- Here is my theories as to why so many successful CZcamsr's are unhappy and suffer from burnout.
And now my answer as to why youtube isn't my full-time job:
For me, CZcams has always been a hobby. It's an outlet for me to escape from my day to day life, and is one of my biggest passions. I am SO proud of this channel, and it is something that I will never ever ever take for granted. Having CZcams as just my hobby, enables me to work, go to university, and live my life the way I want to- without feeling social pressure to upload, earn copious amounts of money or network with other successful influencers. I am SO SO (words will never be able to compensate for the gratitude I have) grateful for the ability to have this as a hobby, and have so many supportive and lovely people follow me.
I feel as if this decision also enables me to remain grounded, and not caught up in the mentally draining and exhausting parts that coincide with being prominent on social media. I've experienced the pressures that come along with being online, and it's just something that I do not want to overrule my life. I will continue to make content for as long as this platform allows me to, and that will never change. However, I don't think, at this point in time, that I will be making it a full time job. This doesn't mean I won't be uploading, because I will still be doing this in my spare time- in fact, nothing is going to change at all, and I hope that in the next month or so I will be able to upload more frequently. Love you all, idk if this makes sense bc im so tired, but thank you for listening to my thoughts you're all bloody incredible.

I think you really hit the nail on the head with this video! My channel is still fairly small even though I used to upload regularly for 3-4 years. Even so, because we are a family channel, I started feeling so much pressure from our audience to act a certain way of constantly think of recipes for them to make (even though there are already tons of videos on the internet of the same recipe) and when you talked about the relationship goals thing, that really hit hard because everyone always expected us to be a perfect couple 24/7 and always told us they are envious of what we have, really not realizing that we are real human beings too with problems and struggles just like anyone. I have never really found the words to explain why I stopped uploading with you really explained everything I'm feeling.

I’d never related more to this I always thought the only job I could do was CZcams because I get so much anxiety from thinking about getting a job but I never thought CZcams would make it worse also lots of love Emma if it weren’t for you I would be hiding under a blanket for the rest of my life ❤️❤️❤️

You said what most youtubers want to say and what their going through, it’s so hard to explain to millions of people and it’s so overwhelming and hard to deal with. CZcams used to be so pure of hate but now people have changed a lot and the audience has changed to.

And another thing that matters is the positivity of your content because people of all ages and backgrounds will be watching your videos and it could either affect them negatively or positively. But your channel to me is almost always positive to me and teaches me alot on life.

I resignate with some of your arguments, but most of them not. For example: alghoritms change. Just give what people like. For understanding that, youtube give a whole analytics to help you understand that. Just play by the rules. It's simple. The market change everytime. That's the way things are. If you have to do all by yourself it could be really stressfull, but if you have a team, it become really a easy job. It's been amazing for me. I have 4 people working for me. I've started watching Zoe since January 2016 (when she reached 10 million subscribers) and discontinued May 2019. I haven't watched her main channel after February 2019 because her content remained the same after a few years although I still watch her other channel until 2 months later. After that I stopped altogether. I am still subscribed to both of her channels on my 2 accounts. She was also my favourite CZcamsr until March 2019.
