A few years back I figured I'd record the other brown 2T22B in town. This one is located at Francis Vigo Elementary and just like their other one, it was painted brown after a school renovation. It was painted CD yellow as well, but the last recording I did was pretty bad. It's a harder one to film, especially since it's hard to get a good angle of it in good sunlight. But the low mount and central location gives for a crazy loud experience with a nice ambience at the end.
Sirens in Knox County are tested on Saturdays at 11:30, usually about once a month except during winter. Tests are cancelled during overcast skies, or if severe weather is expected.

This is, to my ears, at this moment in time, out of my phone speakers (lol)(iphone se 2022/3rd gen) the absolute pinnacle siren. Perfect. Exactly what I picture an “air raid siren” should sound like. Incredible.

Yeah, IIRC there were a few sirens that didn't catch the first tone so they sent it out again

This is a Fs (Federal Signal) 2t22b siren, this siren activate only Incase emergencies like mainly tornadoes or even fire calls.
2T (2 tone), and 22 means number of horns.
