- The Salt Strong brothers find a great campsite on a small island just off of Boca Grande Island where they set up camp, catch tons of snook and sea trout, cook over the fire, and enjoy the perfect Florida weather in late March.

Great video! Boca Grande is such a beautiful area. Keep the videos coming.
I bet finding something like that is rare where nobody owns it and it's free! What dream, that looks so lovely! I hope y'all are still doing this! Would love to know the exact coordinates lol
What is the coordinates to
What kind of boat is that? A release?
Yes, it's a 21 ft release... we've had it since '96 and absolutely love it.
Can anybody camp on here? I would love to with my kayak
MrMotoPete I believe so, but it's on a first come first serve basis, so you're at risk of not having a place to pitch a tent if someone beats you there. There's another island close by along with a part of the trestle that I've seen people camp on so they could possibly serve as back-up plans... however, I've never stayed on any of the others so cannot personally vouch for them. We wish you the best!
Is this dog island?
what island is that? do you have the lat n long of it?
Hey Vincent, the island is called Dog Island (although I'm not sure how formal it is). I do not have the lat n long, but it's one of the few islands just off the north end of Gasparilla Island so it's easy to find.
Salt Strong that is not Dog Island, it's actually a smaller unnamed island next to Dog Island. Dog Island actually requires a permit to camp on.
