  • A plywood insert for a Honda Mini-Van to hold an electric wheelchair scooter and ramp. The ramp is from Harbor Freight, small wheels and large hinges are from my local hardware store.

I know in America the public health system isn't free and supportive like here in New Zealand, so I admire your ingenuity in creating this and it is clearly of use to you, your loved one and anyone else whose family unit is the same as yours.
Great job, whoever you have done this for is very lucky to have you.

You make it look so easy! I sure hope this was the first take video and it gets easier the more you do it.

you did a great job, well done. Hey kitfoxflyer, its obviously designed for those who are able bodied who need an easy way of transporting an electric wheelchair. No need to think about it!

Great if you are able bodied of have a partner or a carer to load it for you.
It's far too much work for many disabled people like myself, but I do like the hinged ramp idea, very inovative.

Good solution. I've got an aluminum ramp too and wish it was made out of feathers instead of the noisiest material known to man. To all the trolls missing a sense of humor that was a joke.

It sounds like the ramps would make a ton of noise rattling while you drive, maybe jam a piece of foam in between with a bungee to hold it steady.

Hey man, question for you I’m waiting for a coupon to come out for those ramps because I need to load a Harley streetglide and roadking into my shop, it’s only a foot or a little more off the ground, I know there’s a hugh weight difference in a battery wheelchair and a motorcycle but since you have one do you see it working without any issues ?

Hello- may i ask what kind and where you got the "hinges" up at the top? What kind are they and what are they meant for? I would like to find them.

looks like a lot of work-- how could a disabled person use this ?
    think about it !!

It is for people who have family or friends with them to do the work. It is far cheaper than buying an installed ramp system.

I also bought Harbor Freight's 6' aluminum ramps. I separated mine. They weigh about 15 lbs. each. Love them.
Suggestion: BACK the unit up & into the van. Better access to joystick & better maneuverability inside the van.

A DISABLED PERSON CANNOT PICK UP THE RAMP. WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU.
