The calendar would have been completely useless in 2020 anyways, I get the sentiment that maybe a child would enjoy the gift. But even then, it would probably still end up as trash fairly quickly.

Went to school with Chris for a year in Starkville MS. 5th grade. Probably the most memorable year of grade school. We were inseperable. I remember he loved final fantasy and calvin and hobbs. Good to see him successful and still so creative :)

Actually the top 100 corporations create 70% of all the greenhouse gas emissions so the average person really wouldn't have to do anything differently. Of course doing any little bit is great, but I feel many people are turned off of fighting climate change because they think they'll be the ones who need to change (due to lots of campaigns by said 100 top companies) 50:50
Yes, thank you. I wish more people knew about this. By passing legislation that massively limits the power of the largest corporations we could reduce emissions WAY more than just getting ordinary people to stop using plastic straws or whatever
By every person thinking “oh one person can’t make a difference” it will not make any change. If every person thought that one person can make difference a huge change can happen. I highly recommend reading “Tragedy of the Commons” by Garrett Hardin. Huge corporations do need legislation but the average person also needs to stop putting it entirely off on huge corporations and take some responsibility.

I love the RT podcast and rely on it heavily for providing bursts of joy and happiness. Please don’t change the format. Bernie was great but Gus, Gavin, Chris, Barbara, and Gus is a great cast to this podcast.

Not one word of a lie, Chris’ story about snowboarding legitimately happened to me while skiing- I’ve never done it before, wiped out every single time going down, when the place was closing I realized I was the last person on the mountain and had to go down, I looked like I knew what I was doing! I went fast and gracefully LOL

1:20:30 I'm the exact opposite. I prefix most discussions with somthing along the lines of "I may e remembering incorrectly but I believe" or "if I remember correctly" xD
The problem with that is no one will read your comment or take you seriously. This is why you say stuff with a statement, so you are taken seriously (this is in a business sense). Then again, I actually know what I say (regarding my job) and always look it up or prep for it. However, if you go into a presentation all timid and stuttering saying lines like "if i remember correctly" say goodbye to anyone wanting to get what you are selling.
