The main use of a One-Fader-Controller is to follow the channel that is selected in the DAW? Is this possible with UF1 or do I always have to select the channel at UF1?

On 26:12 suddenly the UC1 shows a EQ curve, mine does not after following this procedure. What mode is it in? I have the UC1 and the Channel Strip as an insert fx on the track I am testing on.
I have the UF8. It's interesting that in "send" mode the UF8 will follow the selected track. So for example, if i'm in "send" mode and hit "flip" the faders will be set to whatever the selected tracks send levels are. If I click any track in the session it follows as expected. I suspect this behavior will be the same for UF1. Perhaps someone with some expertise can explain why the "send levels" follow but the track itself doesn't. 🤷♂ I currently use to old faderport which I have been looking to replace. So what i explained above works for me now because I just use the UF8 as a send level adjuster. Everything follows. Bummer that we still can't replace an old, probably $150.00, faderport with a product asking for $700 in 2023. All this added functionality with 360.. it seems like this shouldn't be a big deal but apparently its more of a challenge than I know.
@@user-yw9fy5ce1x I even sent them an email with a video attached but still got no reply :( yea. I'm looking to replace my ssl UC1 + UF8 with good ol Faderport 16.... I saw on their website about an update (v 1.6) where they will try to address this problem but I'm on the "doubting" side for now.
follows fine in reaper on Monterey with the studio one preset layer. Ironically studio one and cubase and protools doesn't follow. There is a setting in the preferences in some daws like reaper to get the daw track selected to change the uf8
After wasting hours of my life trying to get the UF1 to "track follow" with intermittent success... it's time to bring the old Faderport 1 back out!!! Disappointing that something costing nearly £600 can't function as well as a Presonus £150 Faderport unit which works PERFECTLY without any issues.
Why is the scrub function available only in Protools? It barley operates like a scrub in Logic, and it's disabled in every other DAW. I may return the UF-1 just for that purpose. Very disappointing!
Well, trying it in Cubase Pro-the scrub works properly. In Logic, it scrubs, but there is no audible sound, which in my opinion, defeats the purpose of the feature. In LUNA, the jog seems to click though by measure-increment. (ugh).
If I'm on channel 1, will the UC1 remain at cannel 1 when I have clicked on a channel outside of 8 or will I have to bank / use the wheel to find that channel?

You have to bank in channels of 8. Pretty annoying

I can get track follow on my UC1 but not on my UF1… am I doing something wrong or is this it? Can’t even get the UC1 to match the UF1

faderport 1 still outplays uf1 in this regard

apparently selecting a channel doesnt follow on the uf1. u still have to manually find the channel again on UF1. such a bad move by SSL.
I fixed it on x-touch one, it had same issue. Never followed outside bank. After fix, it behaved like faderport. Maybe same could work with ssl.
