Today I will take you on a little thrift doll make-over ride! I found a pre-loved Birthday Barbie with some very wild hair. I totally love this Birthday Barbie from 1989 (European Exclusive) which was hard for me to find so i'm gonna do whatever it takes to save her!

Look at her face, hair, beautiful puffy dress... Yes, bodies couldn't move, but I love their tiny waists, how they smiled... Almost like old Japanese anime from the 80s/90s. I wanted her so bad on my birthdays(I never got any of them 😢), so I make my own Barbie dreams come true today and will for the rest of my long Barbie life ❤

The love these Barbies get is so awesome. I enjoy watching these thrifted restorations where people who collect barbies from the past whose idenities are unknown by few are give a good wash some hair spa time and when possible put back in their original clothing and given back their identity. it's super cool. and i love seeing these dolls that have been toshed or thrifted away get the love they deserve

Big poofy gowns are my Fav! I have a hard time going down the Pink isles in stores lately, where have all the Pretty clothes gone? I just pulled out all my 60, 70s, 80, 90s + out of storage and hand washed Every piece of clothing! and ALLL of the shoes. Washed all of my Barbies and now it's time for Hair! I didn't know what i thrifted second hand from ebay till i saw one of your doll hauls from your fairy doll mother that had the pretty birthday barbie and Teressa turns out i got the 1996 barbie and Teressa no box they still have their gowns which are a whole vibe and I'm here for that vibe so I'll wash and keep those but i didn't know they were from 96 until then so now i know and now thank to this i know how to manage their hair. Recently I've been collecting the birthday and holiday dolls from over the years that i like which is most of them .
in some cases it's just the outfits and other times i have found the dolls and outfits separately and put them back together myself .

I’ve never seen the ice water step after setting the curls with boiling water; do you notice a difference when you only use boiling vs when you shock it with ice water?

Will this method work on vintage golden dream fashion face Barbie styling head?I want to fix her hair so bad but am worried about the copper stands in her hair getting ruined.
hmmm that’s a hard one to tell… I see your fear there… I would start with hot water and aaaaaaa lot of conditioner haha
I bought a second golden dream styling head just in case I screw it up! Lol crossing fingers.
What kind of shampoo do you use? Does it matter if it contains argan oil or should I use baby shampoo?
I don’t particularly use aegean oiled shampoo’s, as long as you finish with conditioner 😅🩷 And rinse that out fully!
can you do a routine on how you're so perfect like your skin it's so bright it beams and sparkles

Her tinsel handled the boilwash quite well actually! No fading or damaging to it.
The only advice I would like to give when dealing with tinsel is using hairmask or product to tame it 😆 It does get in the way a lot and creates fly aways
