G4 was the first high rated on TM that I tried, and it is so different, I tasted mint, really love it. Maybe one drink left in the bottle, but it's easy to find at Woodmans and Binny's in the Chicagoland area and reasonably priced. Love your videos, learn a lot each time.
My first initial taste of G4 I scored it low but the more I tasted it and aerated it out it exploded w smell and flavor. One of my top blancos. Felipe Camarena is a genius

Great review! Glad to see a tequila review. In the Bay Area I see this for $37 on the shelf of my local liquor store. Definitely going to pick up a bottle; I had no idea it was made by Camarena. I’d also be interested to hear your thoughts on 1921 if you ever pick up a bottle. Also, I gotta throw this out there… I think the old intro is better than the new one. That guitar riff is 🔥🔥🔥
This price has skyrocketed. Grabbed a bottle of the reposado yesterday and it set me back $70+ bucks. With that being said its the best sipping repo I’ve had to date and I’m no expert. No alcohol on the nose and no ice, mix needed. Sips like a champ. Would love to try the anejo. Wonder if its the rainwater thats the magic 🪄

Had my first Reidel of this a few days back and was quite impressed.
I bought my 1st today of the blanco. That flavor profile was something totally different than other tequilas that I’ve drank in the past. This is a wonderful tequila.

Curious about the Patron lot 221 do you have an opinion about it? Also just purchased grand Mayan ulta anejo , curious of what you guys think about it?

Great review! In my opinion, the G4 Extra Anjeo and the G4 108 are both very good and worth having. Tapatio Extra Anjeo and Tapatio 110 also two very good tequilas that are worth their price.
For me, the best Fortaleza is the Still Strength.

Nice review, I tasted for first time while watching. I wanted a bit more sweetness, finish was a little bitter and drying. Very good but not as complex as Fortaleza. Paid $32.
Another great review! I made one of my wife’s friends a G4 blanco margarita, and she said it was one of the best she’s ever had. Definitely good stuff. It’s been getting harder to find though, I bought my first bottle for $32.99 3 years ago, and now I can barely find it, and if I do it’s $39.99 and up.
I had to travel two hours away from where I live to get a bottle. I can't wait to try it.
have you guys tried Pasote yet?
I had the G4 108-Currently $60 at Binny's in Chicago... which I bought thinking it was the regular blanco - $50-and I know I'll be an outlier here but I don't like it and I really tried to like it. I kept coming back to it but just couldn't get into it. Obviously it's quality made but the vegital & mineral notes are too strong, sharp and grassy for my tastes... but that's just me. Salud.
Really leaning towards this as my first Tequila purchase. Can’t find Fortaleza in my area which is another i have heard good things about. Cheers guys.

@@CuriosityPublic Found Pasote Blanco at my local store. I know it’s also from Felipe Camerena - seems like it is another quality Blanco to start with.
G4 is excellent, I prefer Terralta blanco. But G4 is indeed great.

Even at $45 it's a 10 for value. Worth every penny.

How about adding in TerraAlta blanco in the head to head
I just bought the G4 blanco 80 proof and-for me-it's OK. To a lesser degree than the 108, it has a subtle olive brine note that I don't care for in tequila (it's good in a martini) so it's not a sipper for me.

Wow, never thought I'd see a tequila review again. Love G4 Repo and 108, but not a fan of the blanco. Prefer Pasote over G4. But, again, thanks for ending the tequila review suffering you put us viewers through.
@Aaron9 Absolutely, but you're welcome to disagree. G4 has many great expressions, and I named two that I enjoy more, the repo and 108. I find G4 blanco well-made, a bit too minerally, and overshadowed by Pasote blanco. In fact, I have several blancos that I consider better, but that's my palate. Salud!
It has a pickle smell, and it has a bitter rind taste. It's not for me.
How can you sip this straight to damn strong 😂. Maybe mix it with something or shots but sippin idk about that.
