In this age of OTT, most people are curious to watch original blockbusters with subtitles instead of waiting for the remakes in their own language. This is why many remakes are failing at the box office.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Soorarai potru was the second OTT film released in Tamil. First Ponmagal Vandhal. Both were released by Suriya amidst heavy threat from theatre owners on boycotting in future films.

When the remake was on the cards, I felt Ayyushmann khurana could have pulled it out considering his market, bcz Rajkumar Rao would not be able to convey the aggression needed for this character and Shahid has already been too much aggressive in many.
Unfortunately sushanth is not among us, to take it up with full conviction 😢

Soorarai pottru would have flopped in theatre.
I hate the movie because they want the brand name of deccan airlines but not the real owner's name and history.
Also too much melodrama
The movie wouldn't have existed if the real owner in question, G. R. Gopinath, did not consent to it. He has also expressed how happy he was with the film in several interviews. So why fuss over it?

Everyone knows the story, even tamil was average. Akshay kumar face does not emote. Even if I get free tickets will skip movies like these. Paavam these movie reviewers.
Though Akshay is good actor, in this case, Suriya was exceptional 😊
Bro why do you think there is so much negative word of mouth for this movie? So many of my friends are saying this movie is not good. I heard some reviewers also saying the number of shows have been cut down due to poor response.
