- In this week’s That Peter Crouch Podcast, Crouch, Chris and The Notorious S.I.D sit down and take a minute to discuss some of the most famous tunnels in the game.
Whilst some less than surprising shoutouts like Red Star Belgrade, St Pauli and FC Schalke there were also some honourable shout outs for teams like Luton, Watford and of course LFC.
Pete reveals the ominous reason behind the fact he has only dared to touch the infamous ‘Anfield’ sign on one occasion (ironically, the same amount as Sids) and Starky lifts the lid on some of his all time favourite functional tunnels - shout out Bude!

Notorious is a great addition, much prefer these 3 on. Listening to the last season or so I couldn't help but miss Tom Fordyce, but for the first time since he left I feel the pod has a real balance. It genuinely sounds like 3 mates chatting football again, rather than two mates and the one that was forced to bring his brother along that no one rates too much. Not trying to dig Statman out, just think this pod is slightly the wrong format for his skills, his solo football vids are quality

Sid is a breath of fresh air loving the pods dave just wasn't a good fit hardly spoke
Maybe if he had a little corner of the show to chime in with relevant stats, but Sid is much better for keeping the vibe going.

Thanks for the praise for Villa Park! Underestimated place and team. My friend met her husband at the Holte End - I come from Witton and love the place, even after my 67 years!
I'm from Swansea and I've only been there once, I'm not a villa fan so no reason to go but there's a local grass roots team here that has links with villa and they were doing a trip for the youngsters to go there and we got treated like we were villa players for the day had a training session with villa coaches and a really quick tour before given shirts in the club shop and then watched the game. It was villa v saints must of been around 2001 maybe 2002, crouchy was playing for villa at the time. What an amazing stadium and always had a soft spot for the club since then

That's funny, I just went to the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel on the North/South Korea border the other day. Peter would have had no chance standing in there lol.

Agree with the Villa Park sentiments. Not being from the UK, only been to 4 grounds, Highbury (circa 1998), Brisbane Road, Vicarage Road and Villa Park. Highbury was special for me, but Villa Park was excellent.

I've been going through all the episodes, but which episode is the "pancakes" joke from? What does the joke mean?
When chris played 5 a side he was only fit enough for 5 runs. So he compared his 5 runs a game to banging out a batch of pancakes.
It's from one of the early seasons, maybe the 3rd? Anyway, Stark was saying that he moved so infrequently because of his lack of fitness that his like "heatmap" of where he traveled on the field would look like 5 pancakes.

Loving that addition of Sids to these pods, Statman hasn't really stacked up as Fordyce's replacement. Think someone also needs to tell Chris to pay off the beers before filming as he seems to think it's all about him at the minute.."let's have some questions as we don't get round to them normally" - cue 15mins of Chris asking for a fucking degree
