Heineke is underrated). @@rhey81definitely felt more comfortable with the new coordinators at the beginning of the year. Glad it's just things we are hurting ourselves on, but a lot to clean up. Although I'd rather have these dirty games with teams, more fun to watch, gets your heart pumping, and will teach both teams a lot and help get ready for a long season. Hope the best for that games and hope it's a good one.

What a back & forth. Definitely the best game of the week. Commanders were respectfully good and they were really close to win the game. Their final TD was phenomenal and so dramatic. Their fans should be really proud… .

What a game. I know Howell was sacked a few times but still a good job from Commanders OL to hold this Eagles PoWERFUL DL.
The O-line needs help. Hopefully, they address that in the offseason, whether through the draft or free agency, but they gotta work with what they got for now.

Howell is developing well. I liked how he was poised with his INTs against the Bills. He and the team just has to practice scramble drills more, and he should practice the off angle throws he might attempt in a game, the way Mahomes does. Very impressive young QB.
That AJ brown 59 yard catch and run for the TD must have been super frustrating for commanders fans to watch. He just hung around and went east west for like 15 seconds i thought he was just gonna put it in park at one point 😂

Even though we lost I am very impressed with how well Washington rebounded from last week's travesty. If this team shows up every Sunday, they have a good chance to win any game they play.
The Eagles had this game won with 1:36 to go, but they could have run the clock down and kicked the winning field goal. Instead they gave the Commanders too much time to March down the field for the tying TD and send the game into overtime. Jalen Hurts played a whole lot better today finding A.J. Brown down the field all game. Credit Sam Howell for hanging tough throughout the game and when he had his chance to make plays, he did just that. This was an enjoyable game

I don't entirely disagree, but your defense has to clamp down at some point. Can't let them drive down and score at the last second like that. Plus AJ Brown taunting penalty was dumb. Not saying much because AJ had a whale of a game, but he's got to have better situational awareness than that. You don't taunt when your team is up by only a TD and you just gave the other team 1.34 to tie the game.
I thought thats what they were about to do run the clock out going up the field instead of going up so fast. And just win with clock management. Like what kansas did to eagles.

@@jonathanmorrison2225This is the first game of the season Howell hasn't been sacked 5+ times. Most sacked QB in the league. There were multiple key moments had had less than 2 seconds to even drop back to pass before he was hurried/hit/sacked.

As a redskins fan I think there’s too many talented QBs in the league for Sam Howell to be taken seriously. His release is slow as well as his reads and he either holds onto the ball too long to take a sack or just lofts it up for grabs. There is a lot of talent on the offense but his arm and timing is just too mediocre to take advantage of it and it’s embarrassing because it’s the same problem year after year just wasted talent because for over a decade the redskins have been picking QBs who are just mediocre when it’s not hard to watch footage of how someone performs in college or traded from another team to tell if they have a high ceiling or not.

Even though they lost, it’s amazing how much the addition of Eric Bienemy has vastly improved this Commanders offense. They just have to shore up that O-line some more.
Sam Howell is absolutely their QB of the present and future, though. He’s so poised and calm, despite dealing with high pressure situations.
That last-minute drive and last-second touchdown to get them into OT was not something just any Rookie QB can pull off.

I wasn't expecting the match to be this competitive for the Commanders, and their arrival an overtime in the last breath of the match seems unbelievable great match for them and congrats eagles fans
Even though Washington lost, this still overall mostly feels like a W. Going down to the wire against the Eagles on their turf for the 2nd year in a row is an accomplishment in itself. That 1:43 drive to tie the game showed that Howell can really be clutch for us in the toughest moments, which is the most essential part of being a starting QB.
One major Issue I have tho is that I really thought that Rivera should've made the decision to go for 2 after that final touchdown to just finish off that incredible drive for the win, but unfortunately that was not the case. Anyway, GG to the Eagles because they played an incredible game regardless, and I look forward to watching the rematch in a month.

Could've ain't good enough. Why go into extra rounds with a better time, hoping for the best when you can go all or nothing. EB could have cooked something up, win or lose I would have been much finer with that than what occurred, which only makes me now question his touted Offensive "genius". Plus Del Rio & special teams staff don't value trying to block FG's, even though we have quite a few fast players to over load the corners!!!

In OT the guys in the Replay Booth screwed Washington over....there was no photographic evidence that showed WR Terry McLaurin's toe or foot was out of bounds......therefore, that was a legit catch at the 40, and it would have been 1st down.

The coaching for the Eagles has been less than impressive this year. Some very dumb play calls and trying to out smart themselves and overthinking things. They’re 4-0 on their pure talent. Definitely not because of the coaching or play calling. Coaches need to be better. Period.

The matchup between one of the better D and O lines this league had to offer didnt disappoint in my book but I'm pretty impressed by Howell of the Commanders. Last week was a burn the film kind of game and he clearly did just that. When he sees the throw develop he quickly gets it out of his hand; its hard to tell whats by design via Eric or just him processing the route quickly in spite of pressure. I'm curious as a fan of neither team to see how well this kid grows.

Disappointing loss for the Redskins, but they put up a good fight on the road against one of the best teams in the NFC. The GM in Philly has done a great job building that roster. Very good on both lines, a good young qb, and some very nice skill position players.

Teams that lose in the Super Bowl tend to be horrible in the following season. And with 2 different coordinators, it's a different game for us altogether. There are lot of things we could be doing better, but at the end of the day, it could be a lot worse.
Exactly man. Its very hard when offense don't click with the oc. Atleast the defense coach seem to adjust to play. Still winning on those condition is pretty amazing. It was an amazing game to watch, stressful but amazing.
Agreed, but they need to start getting better with their management of the game. The problem is I didn't see that enough today to say they are improving from week to week. We're finding ways to win, so that's great. But, in some respects, we're having to work too hard for wins because of the coaching. It was always gonna be difficult with two new coordinators and with a tougher schedule of opponents, but I can't say for sure I've seen improvement from the coordinators yet.
At least the Eagles are winning the close ones.
I agree man we are working so dam hard just to scrap by. It’s like we got shot in the wing and we are flying kinda crooked rn. It’s hard to watch because we look unpredictable at times. Only a matter of time tho until we heal all the way, then we flyin high 🦅

Toe was definitely on the sideline. You could see the black tip of his shoe compress and there was no grass gap, only the white of the sideline.
@@christophercomisac379 I don't know dude, there was an angle where you could clearly see a sliver of green between his toes and the sideline. Unfortunately it wasn't called a catch and not enough evidence to over turn.

Most definitely was. The Redskins most definitely should’ve won that game and everyone knows it. But it’s all good. We’re going to beat the sh*t out em next game.
