Metal on a Wood Lathe? | M3 metal/resin

I had not worked with the M3 material from McKenzie Penworks it is a relatively new release/acquisition from them. I tested out the material in this video and it certainly did not disappoint, it was on par with turning Alumilite clear slow as far as hard/softness.

A suggestion on the barrel trimming. Get yourself a vise and secure the blank in the vise. It makes it both easier AND safer. I'm going to have to check whether I have an M3 blank, if not I'll pick some up next time I order some Liberty or Coyote Clicks from McKenzie. (Good vendor, fantastic blanks.)

Nice video John. I like that EDC pen (and the pencil too). I keep looking at that M3 material and was hoping that someone would do a video on it, so thanks for that. I don't really see any difference in the finish. So, as you said, if you already have the MJ, then use it. Less steps (2 vs 6) is nice, but that's okay too.
