I been Necro since the day I started. And I know playing the same class always gets boring. But my passions for my class will win over my boringness. If I'm bored I go to pvp. When I wanna get better I farm. My class keeps me busy. And I don't have the time to farm other classes. Not that I want to anyways. I can't leave my skeletons that have brought me this far

And I don't see anybody talking about the roles of each class in pvp. There is a role for everybody. But people don't want to play pvp to find out
Your crusader commentary was spot on. I recently switched to it and I'm mostly ftp besides when awakening my armor and I get trashed in all pvp content. Lol I've played Necro/BK and wizard. Probably had the most wins with bk as a ftp player.

As of two days ago the average win rate per class for the top 50 players per class (in your server, again, but I have cross checked in the past in other servers and the values are homogeneous) are as follows: Crusader 56.8% Barbarian 55.8% Blood Knight 55% Necromancer 54.5% Wizard 51.6% Demon Hunter 50.6% Monk 50.4% Do not advise FTP to choose Demon Hunter. It has win rates similar to Monk. Even with the Escape build. All the polemic around that build is unjustified and/or solely based on the experience of whales.

But in the last eight months I have been seeing consistent results by Crusaders, Barbarians and Blood Knights. Blood Knights have had a huge honeymoon with devs and I think it is finally albeit slowly re-sizing. I would go Crusader. They are loved by other players as they buff them all and can hold on idols for such a long time that you can’t go wrong with them. Also, many 1-2 star gems seem perfect for the class.
best f2p pvp classes are necro, saders and barbs all three of them share a skill that delays their death, no matter the reso you will almost always hold or move the idol consistently
i would love for them to have the knife/ Dagger build on demon hunter like on diablo 3 but probably coming out for the new class. so ill say BK or monk for me is the best fun class to play
Right now, I'm loving Monk. I feel more impactful in PVP as DH, but I'm still learning/adjusting with the Monk. As for PVE Monk is pretty epic, I can dish out big damage and buff anyone who bothers to stand in the blue ring for over 50% dmg. That combined with a Sader banner, bosses melt.
I like using the monk in pvp. You can shield and heal your teammates. Plus give them speed and immune boosts. I was bored with playing necro. If pets actually did decent damage. Maybe it would be a lot better.
I'd say any class can do well with light spending. Oh and talking about rubber banding I have some crazy footage. I'd apso say Barbarian are pretty hardcore about being a Barb because they are definitely the least popular. I've been Barb since day 1 nd never changed once although I mighy for 1 day while Fractured Plane is out since I coulf get every essence probably for another class. Necro is a FOTM, like every class except Barbarian has gone through. Barbarians are generally always in a good place, but they are definitely at their peak with the most current changes. Barbarian was really good before the Demoralize CC immunity, with a dip towards the end of Hells going into H8, then every Inferno they've gotten better and better.

Melee class really not meant for F2P in PVP, much suitable to play ranged class instead: Top choice: Demon hunter = Easy to play, high damage/ kills but cowardly skills. 2nd: Wizard = Best CC and crowd control skills but easily killed by Crusader and DH. 3rd: Necro = Not much kills in PVP but can be irritating to enemies in BG.

Basically, since pvp matchmaking is such crap, and there's no real thought out class balancing (they just throw shit out there and see how it sticks), class change IS the endgame in DI. Unless you like playing all these minigames with lackluster rewards. It would have been better if pvp had been properly designed, bcz basically DI simply turns into a collection game. Collect essences & class change into whatever is this month's meta flavor. At that point, you're probably better off playing Pokemon. Sigh. Also, there's zero effort to keep noobs away from experienced players such that nearly all pvp content is still like day one with clueless players who can't read maps and do not know the most basic strategy. You'd think at going on 2 years from release, experienced players would have more than a 2 week separation from clueless noobs, but nope. They are everywhere. The catch up mechanics all punish existing players while rewarding noobs, ultimately heaping noobs into your every game play. Blizz' big fix for that in the form of Hell vs. Inferno design was a huge fail, unsurprisingly, since why would you intentionally stunt the growth of your character. This week, noobs in pve are even worse than usual. Dungeons are ridiculous with noob players and their rank 10 gear/1K res/3000 under suggested combat rating characters all expecting carries in Inferno5 random dungeons so they can try to grind to 1200. Most won't succeed. They did not properly plan for Inferno 5. Which means next week will be more of the same. It has made capping your battle pass twice in one week particularly painful since getting a noob/casual in random dungeons is guaranteed, unless you pre-form your party. While carrying them in my main is an annoyance I'd rather not do, carrying these noobs in my 1K res barb alt is a ton of work, and as usual, sucks all the joy. It seems the supply of entitled under CR noob players is nearly inexhaustible this week. I see dead noobs everywhere. I really wish they would put back some real gatekeeping for access to playing higher level content. PVE and PVP both.
Or you could get over yourself and just find a party instead of searching for randoms. It’s not hard. Go in world or shadow chat if you don’t have a good or active clan to help you. I do agree about bg matchmaking being shit tho. I’m in gold 5 and it’s miserable up here. I’m 2k reso with 1.5-3k secondary stats level 1202 after taking a break for 5 months. Every single game I’m in, I’m the lowest reso and secondary stat player there. Nothing but 3-4k+ secondaries and 4-5k+ reso players. Also most games are super lopsided because basically every player on the enemy time is either a wizard or bk. They need to improve the matchmaking for bg

I played necro until about a month ago. You should try the monk class. I feel way more useful in pvp.

I just play like a support with my monk in pvp. Unfortunately 90 percent of the time in battlegrounds. We die so fast
