Hi, great videos, I have a question , does lifting the car from the front enable you to get all the old oil out of the sump ? as i'm going to do my old girl pretty soon.

Thank you! I'm sure the correct procedure will be for it to be flat and up on a ramp etc for optimal draining. I'm sure there might be a tiny bit of oil that gets missed and pools because I lift it like this, do I think it matters? No not really when I swap the oil and filter every 10k miles or year, whichever comes first :)

All good !! I did all this in March before the mot for my clk 220d.
What oil did u use ?
Do u change the fuel filter every year ?
I also added Forte dpf cleaner and diesel treatment, both bottles, so will do this at least once a year.

Thanks mate! Ah lovely, peace of mind doing before MOT too :)
I used "Fuchs titan super synthetic" 5W40, it meets the MB approval number and seems decent quality without breaking the bank, been using it a few years now and seems decent! I do change the fuel filter every year yeah, not strictly necessary but for £15 or whatever it ends up being, might as well in my eyes :)
Thats good practice mate keep everything clean and free flowing! No DPF on mine so I'm ok there haha

I buy most of my parts on Autodoc and get fuel filter for £7, 10litres on Mannol diesel 5w 30 for less than £50. As i only do 5000miles a year and change it every year dont see point in buying expensive longlife stuff 😅

@@arnietwo11 Yeah I go to Autodoc too and fair play mate, you're doing best practice by servicing regularly anyway!
