  • This clip is the Indian Rope Trick sequence from classic Amicus British horror film from the early 70s, The Vault Of Horror. This story, from a compilation movie, stars Curt Jurgens as a man obsessed with finding new 'tricks' for his act & exposing those he feels are duping the public for money. See how he gets his reward!!!
It has some very nice sitar playing by veteran Brit Clem Alford & tabla, I think, by Keshav Sathe.

I wonder what happened to his wife when she climbed the rope and she disappeared 12:37. I've always wondered where she went to.

In the comic version (tales from the crypt 33) her body parts fall back down hacked apart. Guess the effects wouldn't have worked.
The fact she could clearly see what was about to kill her is chilling though.

Of course it was Clem. Nice to 'see' you on here. Nick
I heard a few years back Kesh had passed away when I went to see Ishmael Sheikh's family when HE passed.

Do you have any copies of your fuller recordings you did for this film?
