- Some incredible old-school cars on show from the 8th Fukuoka Classic Car Meeting held in April, including a beautiful restored long-nose 810 Nissan/Datsun Bluebird two-door hardtop, a couple Nissan Cherry (Datsun 100a) sedans, Toyota Corona GT, B10 Datsun Sunny. The atmosphere at this car show was relaxed and friendly.

Back to the routine, nothing better than Saturday mornings drinking coffee and watching WASABI CARS . Dan THE GOAT 🐐
Hey Daniel. Yes, back to the routine. At least for the moment. Fingers crossed ;-) Appreciate the comment. Thanks
@wasabicars ur channel and Dino DC
The Goats 🐐 of jdm content. Everyone step aside.
The boys got this 💪 👏 😤
Wow, so many fantastic cars. Love the green Cherry. An early one too with the narrow tail-lights.
Yes! Gorgeous Cherry
So many good cars. 200B coupe is perfection. Thanks for the video❤
Hey, Jay. That 200B is top shelf for sure. Thanks for dropping in
Awe, all those oldies were in my hood(Koreatown LA) in the ‘70’s, I knew they were cool then, even cooler now.
Cheers :)
Fantastic meet, variety and coverage.
Love that lifted R34 in the Intro
It has been so long since i've seen an Opel Tigra
13:42 Toyota MR-S Zagato 😍😍
Thanks once again
So many rare cars there Dan what a joy to see them all
We never see any off them even here now 👍👍🇦🇺
Hey, David. This car show must be so different to whats seen in Oz. Different cars, of course. But also no blowers, hot rods, tubs, etc... I must confess, I do like the Japanese way of making their cars look tough. I probably prefer Aussie classics though. Doh!
Absolutely mint content Daniel! I apologize for the late response lots of drift events here lately in Okayama and Suzuka. The Mazda Repu and 77’ RX-3 SP barn find are still in the U.S. but I want to send them over soon. RX-3 reveal video is in the works- Cheers!
All good. I'm truly kept busy at all times as it is. Hope to see your collection in Okayama one day
15:10 yup, Toyota did a sports version of each bodystyle of that generation Corolla. They all have the high output 1.8 Celica engine. So there's the sedan, the Fielder wagon, 3 door and 5 door hatchbacks (called Corolla Runx)
Ah, I see. Thanks for the info. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for them
We owned a 4 door saloon of the white coupe Datsun Laurel.
And yes, it was called a Datsun Laurel, it was a comfortable car.
We got the Datsun Cherry as well.
Oh, the Laurel I know well. Wondering if it looked more like this (Though the grill may have appeared different due to the your) czcams.com/video/lnYNensh6R8/video.html
Work Equip Casting 5 Dan, as opposed to the Equip Spinning 5.
As the name suggests, those ones are a cast 1 piece.
The spinning uses a cast centre with spun alloy lips and barrels.
Very rare wheels man!
How cool is the longnose Bluebird! WOW! Instant love.
I've honestly never seen an 810 version, only a couple of the 610 ones.
Here he is, dropping some knowledge. Cheers, Mark. Beautifully explained
Heehee, you know I love a lot of those Seventies 'not-flash' colors, green in particular. (cause my favorite color in general) Also thinking how cool those dark/charcoal silver colors were once upon a time, before almost everything around went to monochrome. :) )
And, ah, Corona GT coupes, there's just something about em in so many generations. (We got a few of the boxy early 80s ones in the US, almost invariably black or sometimes white ones, and they were just cool to me. It's like when postmodern architecture actually hits all the proportions just right or something. )
Actually, I do love the seventies flash colours too! But, yeah. Modern car colours are so uninspiring.
2 door Corona ! I want one soooo bad
So good, eh. ANd, saw it at a local meet up just yesterday. Cleeeean
Great cars as usual Dan have to finish watching the vid in a minute opened a frozen bottle of fizzy drink and messed up the lounge room hahahahaha
Lol! I got kicked half-way through myself. Took me a while to get back into it. Was a disaster
Luv the s40 Gloria.
Thanks for the fantastic coverage Daniel! 👍
I agree with you that the bluebird 810 is one of the best at the car show. It's so rare and uncommon that I'm amazed it still exists!
I think those were sold here as the Datsun 160/180/200B, depending on the engine capacity. Probably the coupe was sold here as the 200B coupe.
Hey. It seems Australia had the same Datsuns you mention (180B, 200B), but all were of the short-nose, 4 cylinder versions. You got the long nose in Europe? (You guys got the C130 Laurel and we didn't)
@@wasabicars as far as I know we did get a few 6 cylinder versions of the Violet. I did see a 6 cylinder Bluebird 810 in a UK magazine, but i can't recall if it was original UK.
This bluebird is so classy! ❤
Almost pilarless
Definitely! As for pillarless or not... I'm thinking. I'll need to see it with its windows down. The window in the C pillar doesn't count for me. Lol All good! I'd hate for this to turn into an internet feud ;-)
Still the best channel ever. Always love the content. I truly wish it was possible for me to move to Japan and do what you do. Thanks!
Cheers! Very much appreciated. :D
Excellent video my friend 👍🇨🇷
Thank you! D
🤩🤩Thanks for sharing like this video s
Hey :) My pleasure. Thanks for watching
I had 1 of them datsun 810 in the uk was a 108B SSS with a dog leg gear box , easy put it in reverse thinking it was 1st gear, often pull away in 2nd gear and reach 70mph in 2nd , wish i still had it.
Hahahahha! I've never had the experience of one of those gearboxes. I think you just laid out what my experience would be. ;-)
Im glad you at least know a thing about cars compared to others
Appreciated. You should definitely avoid my first 5 or 6 years of videos though. ;-)
i wish that you could do a smol drive in that legendary Toyota 2000GT
Me too! If anyone ever offers test drives, I'll volunteer for sure :)
cool :)
Cheers!
Very cool! Back to Japan and German and German "inspired" cars. 😁
All the Cedrics and the Glorias! And a President! Were they Royal spec Caravans/Homys? Or at least lesser high-grade options?
Oh, nah. I don't see Nissan Caravans/Homys much. Maybe one or two at car shows each year
@@wasabicars But they were beides the Cedrics and exactly besides the President. Short before you swiveled the camera. At almost minute 19.
NSW ! Origin is almost here Dan, what time is it usually on over there?
Unfortunately, zero (legal) live streams. Actually, there is a paid way but it's too expensive for the season (and the Bulldogs have been sucking for years and years)
Yea~People! That Hako with 100J wheels is a bit much 😅 GB JDM car nice I must say. Never seen one of those. Also the earlier skyline R29? Idk 🤷♂️ lol straight 6 yes those are the bomb Dan 👍
100J! Hahaha! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
@@wasabicars of course Dan gotta make my way down to ya soon 👍 w/ Mr Hachi 😄
So.... The holden gemini irmscher competition
Wtf?? The front sidelight/indicators are like a cross between pre and post facelift. What the hell?? I have an early 1990 gemini irmscher r and this spec holden is totally unknown to me. Do you have any more info??
Keep up the good work man. Love your videos 👍
Oh! Yeah. I think the owner just likes to tweak. In Australia people love putting Chevrolet badges on their Holdens. Also, Holden only got the first two generations of (Isuzu) Gemini in Australia; not the one pictured here. ((Though, super secret. I did see a red, 2 door based on the same platform as the 3rd gen Gemini that was suspected to have been a Holden evaluation model. I hope I can show that footage one day))
Dan brought me here------->🥝✔️
Hahaha! I did. And thank you for allowing yourself being brought here :)
@@wasabicars Like dinosaurs found in a museum, I pulled on in like a Dinosaur Pile Up.🦕🦖✓
👍
Thanks for dropping in. Appreciated
Everything you say people it's take a drink and carry on watching
Drinking game, interesting! I could put up a warning at the start of every video; 'Enjoy WasabiCars responsibly' ;-)
I want to know who started using the word “people” first, Moog or you?
Hmmm... I wonder if it's an Australian thing. Similar age and background. Maybe that's what's happening here
You could be right, but as a kid of the 80’s from S.Aust I’ve never heard of it
