@GloriousGEO i guess cuz most fighting games are 2d which is easier to network. AC6 has to deal with 3d space with obstacles AND speed of mech/ weapons and projectile speeds.
@@GloriousGEO Rollback netcode is effectively predictive net code. When a packet is dropped, the game makes a heuristic guess at what the player is about to do (which is usually "continue what I'm already doing"), then rolls back to what actually happened if it differs from the prediction. This is easier to implement in 1v1 game modes, the more defined the set of options the better.

I'm surprised that Ocellus was the chosen FCS for this, since it seems it have some favouring of fighting mid range into close range vs Tanks, it's favored matchup, did you found some issues while using other options? Why that felt like the superior option? Thanks in advance and good job on this craftsmanship, hope to see some other ACs you make that make use of other pieces.
All meta plasma tanks are kite builds. You have to play close range against them to kill them fast before they can kite you. And Ocellus works best when assault boosting, which I do all the time. I'll keep cooking some more S rank viable builds!
I love this build and I did something interesting. U kept quick switching like Doomslayer and I learned I can get more shots in and not having to worry about overheating as much. It was weird to do but I am noticing the dmg output I am doing and not worrying about heating as much

This build is a really great build in team matches, played a team match last night with randoms, one guy was using a hover bird missile build providing air cover defense, the other using a medium weight melee build and i used your build showed and we DOMINATED the matches! Though the medium weight melee build the player used on my team may have not been using right builds imo since he wasn't using hit and run tactic but it still works in the end somehow 😅
my only advice in 3v3s with this build is maybe don't have a teammate use a melee build unless it's a good lightweight+speed melee build cause if they're getting ganged up a lot and we can't provide cover it's literally up to us to save their ass lol which almost cause us close calls man 😵💫😵💫😵💫
@@laurentpoulet2746for a meele build aka double meele build. need to be smart. for example; after match starts, always let your teammate engage the enemy first and ambush the enemy from behind. if not, you'll ne the enemy's focus fire and would just die too easily without contributing.

That's why I prefer either doing up-close assault or providing air cover with a hover missile/laser build. The other choice I'd use in a team would maybe be a tank build but it'd have to be a specific one that aids the team as a whole and not just oneself depending on the situation.
I've been using double laser swap build from the start and improving it slowly. Just made it to A rank. I switched to coral generator after watching your build which gave me more AB duration to chase down opponents. After watching this, now I'm going to try terminal instead of pulse armor. One question, I've been using P06SPD so I can have more speed to catch up to faster opponents. Any specific reason for using Buerzel?
I reached S rank with a missile rat build and wanted to learn something else and put much effort into it cause I hadnt learn almost nothing from that build lol. I picked this build and that was a blast! I am still struggling but its really engaging and fun to destroy enemies with colorful beams. Im looking forward to your another build video.
Excellent build. I've made it to A rank with my AC BBQ, it's a heavy build with laser rifles, a coral shield, and an earshot, but I think I'll have to switch-up to this rifle swap build to make any more progress. Fucking missile rats are driving me crazy! If you're an S ranked pilot and you did it with a missile rat, you're a cheese puff. They need an ammo nerf or something. There seriously needs to be more balanced specs. for a missile weapon's weight and its ammo capacity. It just doesn't make sense that a tiny AC, that's faster than everything, can shoot missiles, forever! That's way too much missile ammo. Besides in some of the other Armored Core games you could equip an AC with anit-missile defenses as shoulder extensions. Essentially they were lasers that shot down missiles, but they only lasted so long. I can't wait for the next patch. I hope they consider this stuff and include some cool new parts.
I am suprised that there are quite some tanks in S rank from what I hear from the video, as from my understanding tanks have no hope getting into the range that can hit light weight kites, or is it becoz there are too much heavy bipeds with the ab booster so there are fewer lights than I expect? I am still in A so I have no idea how S is right now.
So there's also a technique that you can use to catch up to kites enough to get some damage in on them. And it's basically a salt boost kicking toward them and up and it'll take you into the sky and move you very quickly across the map. A tank build that knows what is doing can cover a pretty decent amount of distance pretty quickly. See tank treads maintain their momentum forward whenever they assault boost kick

I do a similar AB style heavy build, but I use dual stun guns one mini gun on the right shoulder and then the double split missles, then for the arms I use the most ap arms I could find
SPD booster's kinda mid tier, you can boost away all you like with the SPD but the assault boost speeds aren't as good as the buerzel or even the alulas which have second best boost and assault boost speeds. SPD boosters tend to be pretty easy to catch when you just barrel towards them with assault boost.

A lot of this also comes from the terrible net code. The lasers are nearly undodgeable because they're attacker side. So a lot of the times what happens is the attacker will shoot the lasers and the defender doesn't have time to dodge them before they've already been hit just hasn't registered yet. So anytime that you dodge a laser but then you still see a chunk of your health disappear that's what happened. The laser it hit you before it even registered so you're actually not even seeing the actual effect on screen.
I dont think the lamm tetra missle boat is a counter to your build.... If anything this build arguably counters them. Those tetras have high mobility and stability, but this build specializes in flat damage over acs punish. Secondly these builds have low AP which is hard countered by high damage over second. Third, high mobility is countered by burzel. I think the hardest counter to this build is actually my double melee midweight build.

They are all close in other respecte, but my fav has been HAL if I had to pick, though youll need to play more precisely against kiters to make up for the 10-20 drop in speed, when AB rushing them down.

So as a Veteran AC player I see a ton of creative player choice, but does playing any of these specified builds in the video really constitute as bad play? I know there's not much that can be done to fix or balance the game, but it seems like some of the titles I've seen thrown around for mech type builds are kinda... negative or derogatory-lite (for lack a better term). Outsider gamedev looking in, I suppose 🤷♂️
Tanks are currently glitched and lamm leg parts are way overtuned. They are basically just relying on their build to carry them through fights instead of putting any real effort.

Otherwise won't it become monotonous and boring to just stick with the one broken AC build just to keep your position in the arena? Iono, maybe it's just me, but I think it's more fun to make and use various ACs and keep switching them out - try having fun with something new (maybe that's why they're all grumps up there lol not enough fun anymore 😂)
@@FrankMuniz You are heavily penalized for losing in Ranked. Litterally a no fun allowed mode. There's no incentive to actually get good with off-meta builds as a result.

Yeah I liked primal armor much better than ACS strain. Like you're already removing all my defense, you really need to immobilize me also? You get stunned as a lightweight and it's pretty much game over.
So it's basically just a lobster build. The lobster has been meta for a little bit now. The only real discussion is shouldn't be a heavy biped or should it be some type of tank bill
@@GloriousGEOwell this is a lobster bill. This is just heavy biped version. Another thing you're doing though is leaning on the net code. This game has very poor net code and the lasers are attacker side. So what's happening is a lot of times you're scoring hits that your opponent Dodge but on your side they had already hit them. So I nobody really likes playing against this build because even if you dodge the lasers they might have already hit you unless you can pre-dodge and have perfect timing. And when I say pre-dodge I mean literally you have to be dodging before the shot goes off. I know because I have a friend who uses this build and I can dodge 80% of his shots but they still hit me. Because the net code is allowing you to basically get free hits.
Naw, I had several people who tried this build, complain about not landing their hits in pvp. LW ACs and lamms can dodge the hits just fine as well. It's just that a majority of players in the current meta play heavy ACs. They realistically are too slow to dodge the hits. And while this build does use LRBs, it can also swap between plasma rifles, walter rifles and the like which lobsters never use. I personally prefer the reshift nebula and plasma rifle combination now that everyone I see is a tank or heavy biped.

This build is easily countered by BVOs and high stagger builds. You stagger stunlock them before they can laser you off the planet. Keep this a secret tho, buddy.
Auto-sighting with turning ability was much better than hard lock. You could actually break lock and get in blind spots. The game was actually skillful. Not this DPS stat check bullshit we got here.
@@jackgunnill7836 Yeah it basically worked like hard lock but it was bound to turning ability. So it could never turn faster than your legs could, it also had weak points that you could exploit to break other peoples auto sighting. It also didn't have the delayed lock-on like hard lock does. Lock-on didn't need to correct with every movement.
Sounds like a good system to me! I do find it a bit irksome that a huge beefy AC can turn at the same speed as my whippy little lightweight. Anything to actually give different weight classes strengths and disadvantages, currently I feel like the pay off of a heavy weight is too high, helped by the fact they can turn as fast as a light weight.
"Line up and time your shots" -- You're doing nothing but swapping and firing as fast as you can. I look forward to AC7 removing things like auto-lock so brain-dead shit like this can vacate the game permanently, and some semblance of balance can be restored.

I use BVO and can consistently take out missile rats. Ab is critical for it though. Along with power management.

Nah tanks mop the floor with everything. Just put missiles on a tank to catch kite players.

Why did you divide Nebula and laser when the AC shoot the enemy?
It's so my arms do not get overburdened when I use them so I can equip arms with better firearm specialization.

Fairly easy, keep them in your range (150plus) and you will out dps them easily.
This build doesn't even need to stagger anyone, just the dps alone can melt through anything, they die before they could even realize.

Lobster lacks mobility since it has to enter into a firing stance. This build is better for bipeds.

Great video/build, love the colours. I will say, not all lamm pilots are coward missile rats 😢 I just like flying around like a spaceship... I also die A LOT (I'm bad though so). You said you were gonna do a build video about new parts... can you tell us what sort of weapons are good FOR lamms? 🙏
Lamms legs specifically? Nebula charged shots, plasma missile launcher. Heck of a lot of weapons to use actually.

You should make a counter video to this build since almost everyone is using this build and has kinda sucked the fun out of pvp.
This build is easily countered by BVOs and high stagger builds. You stagger stunlock them before they can laser you off the planet. Keep this a secret tho, buddy.
This build wouldn't work if hit registration didnt run on 30 year old spaghetti code fromsoftware dug out of the basement filling cabinet.

I see a lotta people complaining about hard lock. I'm assuming they're PC players, it's kinda necessary on console I feel
Yeah, I'm a console player so I play with controller on PC.
Auto-sighting with turning ability was much better than hard lock. You could actually break lock and get in blind spots. The game was actually skillful. Not this DPS stat check bullshit we got here.
Auto sighting sounds interesting. This is the first AC game I've played so the hard lock - soft lock thing is all I've known
@@jackgunnill7836 Yeah it basically worked like hard lock but it was bound to turning ability. So it could never turn faster than your legs could, it also had weak points that you could exploit to break other peoples auto sighting. It also didn't have the delayed lock-on like hard lock does. Lock-on didn't need to correct with every movement.
Sounds like a good system to me! I do find it a bit irksome that a huge beefy AC can turn at the same speed as my whippy little lightweight.
Anything to actually give different weight classes strengths and disadvantages, currently I feel like the pay off of a heavy weight is too high, helped by the fact they can turn as fast as a light weight.
Geo is no doubt very skilled but this build is overtuned. Legs need a nerf imo
