@@rhysowen5595 we have loads. Mitsubishi l200, vw amarok, Toyota Hilux etc. The vast majority have the canopy truckman thing over the back but they are still pickups

Car Throttle: We repurposed an Omega and made a poor man's Maloo.
The Omega was the base for the Commodore. You can see it in the body panels. They are the same.
@@JulianKapa the bodywork isn't identical but the VT design started with this omega

This is something I’ve been wanting to do for years. Amazing to see someone just go and do it.

to be fair, simones is a $100,000 car that shes gonna keep.. this is a 500 pound junker that they are doing for the content...

Me and my friends did this last winter to a 1999 4 door civic, it was awesome! This winter we put crv suspension and big tires on it and it is the most fun offroad vehicle ever!!

True, but LS crate engines are available. Bit trickier to get hold of in the UK, mind, but it is possible.
The Opel/Vauxhall Omega is the successor to the Opel/Vauxhall Senator.
The first holden commodores were really just Opel Senators with a V8 instead of the inline 6, and a different styled front !
So really this omega is a VP commodore's cousin !

Speaking as some one who has owned between 20 and 30 Omegas I think the video is great, good on Alex and co for creating entertaining content!

That 30hr Detail has sure as Hell escalated in a very hectic fashion.
All those parts could have gone on ebay and paid for the build.
I have 2 Omega estates at the moment and a really nice blue saloon with only 52,000 miles on it, in the past I have advertised on fleabay but the parts aren't in great demand so I doubt Alex has missed out .

GM actually made the omega in to a ute or pick up. The 1997 - 2005 Holden commodore was based heavily on the omega. The Commodore came in three body types Sedan, Wagon and Ute. Look up 2002 VU Commodore Ute. We also got the wagon out here as well look up VT Commodore Wagon. Keep up the awesome work!
