- In today's video we walk through the first steps to winterizing your boat, which is servicing your motor. We show you how to winterize a two and four stroke outboard motor and explain what materials are needed. The motors we demonstrate on are Yamaha 150 HP 2 stroke (2003 model Z150TXRB) and a Yamaha 9.9 HP 4 stroke (2010 model F9.9SEH). As always thanks for watching and we hope to see you soon!

Thanks!
@@JKFishingYt no problem
Nice educational video. Got the same set up of 2 motors..(prajem pekny den)
Glad you found it helpful!
dont need muffs with the yamaha outboard , there is a hose you can unscrew and use. i used muffs for awhile before i discoverd this
Did not know that it would help a lot as our muffs are a bit big for the 9.9
The shop manual says to drain the carb float bowls. Just curious if you or other folks do that or why if not.
I’ve seen videos where guys are fogging their two stroke motors with the EFI fogging oil. Is that safe for two strokes.
You should spray more fogging oil into the cylinders for about 4 seconds and again after you turn the motor over.
Thanks for the tip. Does this insure that the cylinders are completely coated?
Nothing is guaranteed. But more oil in the cylinders equals less corrosion over the winter. @@JKFishingYt
Makes sense. Appreciate it
I suppose this would work on a 2021 225 Yamaha four stroke too wouldn’t It ?
it should but I would compare the motor specs first before trying to replicate this process on a larger model
