    Maybe not my favourite reserve but it was still a great adventure! Campsite itself is very scenic, ablutions need lots of work (or should be demolished), garbage dump removed and fences need to be fixed and patrolled as poaching is rife in the area apparently. Cool episode none the less mate, looking forward to Kruger!

    Merry Christmas
    We expect to stay at Nthakeni Camp coming from the Kruger and would like to reach the Levuvhu river before going out at the Makuya main gate. We've got today (Christmas 2023) negative information about that the conditions of that reserve. Nevertheless - avoiding to drive twice the demanding 4x4-trail back to the westend main gate - how/where did you drive out from that area to the north directly to the R525 direction Pafuri gate? Some guy of your connections called "Heinrich" had the opportunity to open the fence/gate? Many thanks. Thierry

    Nice video..brings back memories for my fiancé who’s from Zimbabwe I live in the US in the state of Georgia. Pretty hot and humid here in the summer. I backpacked in my youth and recently started overland type camping. How do you manage the heat when camping in a tent? I’ve sort of thought of it as a three season activity around here unless I can go out west to higher elevations.

    • @EdwardBath
      @EdwardBath  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you Robert! Fortunately the tents have decent ventilation but it’s borderline comfortable, any hotter and it would be unbearable

    How did the echo 5 hold up on the trip with all the rain and wind?

    • @EdwardBath
      @EdwardBath  Před 3 lety +1

      It held up perfectly 🙏 the only issue was that the tent pegs wouldn’t stay in the ground so the awnings were flapping in the wind but no damage thankfully 💪
