    One thing i dislike about fitted hats is if you grow any hair with your hat it’ll immediately become tighter to your head cutting of circulation eventually. But this was helpful since I have a few sweet fitted hats I can’t wear but since this comment I’ve fixed all my hats into snap backs.

    Best tutorial by far. A lot of the tutorials on here use hot glue. Sewing the snaps on makes for a cleaner more professional look. I love your videos, and you have inspired me to get a sewing machine & going for it. Keep up the good work.

    How much can you change the size of the hat with this technique? If I wear a 7 1/2 could i turn a 6 1/2 into a snapback that fits me?

    • @kenandrewdaily
      @kenandrewdaily  Před 9 lety +2

      Joels1337 By changing a fitted into a snapback, you're allowing it to be 1-1.5 in. bigger. So if you customize a size 7 fitted into a snapback, you can adjust it to any size in between 7 - 8 1/2.

    • @insomb
      @insomb Před 9 lety

      ***** Have you ever tried to make new patterns off the old ones so that it's a legit fit? I have a winter cap I found that is a really really cool fitted. It was made with earflaps which I've removed though because they looked stupid. The hat is way too big as it is, so I need to cut it smaller I think. Snap back is the way to go but you are saying it will make it larger. So I was going to cut the patterns off of a snapback I already have. Lot of work but I see no other way to save this hat.

    • @kenandrewdaily
      @kenandrewdaily  Před 9 lety

      I don't want to mess with creating baseball hats from scratch. There's many industrial machines I need to make the hat look and feel commercial grade. It's going to look uneven if you're going to cut it smaller.

    • @insomb
      @insomb Před 9 lety

      Why specifically do you need an industrial machine? You just take the patterns off and re-cut them, sew them back up, probably don't even need a domestic serger. I mean, if you do, I'm sincerely curious where on the hat and for what reason and what attachments would produce a more professional result.

    • @kenandrewdaily
      @kenandrewdaily  Před 9 lety

      There are specific machines that are needed to add the button up top and airholes on each panel.
