We can’t exactly know for sure if he is drunk/high or if it is actually his social awkwardness, because honestly I feel the only man who’d know is Johnny himself. Although perhaps, and please don’t hate me for saying this, maybe it was a mix of both? I mean idk, I just know he really does have social awkwardness to the point when he was supposed to speak in French for an awards ceremony in France, he recorded himself speaking before hand, and I also know he was a bit wild during a point in his life, which I feel he’s outgrown to be completely honest since he’s become a father. But that’s just my opinion and what I’ve learned.
My favorite trio (Johnny, Helena & Alan) is down a member. So very sad, Alan really was a brilliant man. We'll all miss him.
