Everything about him just warms me. He truly loves acting, both in movies and on the stage. His voice is so calm. The interviewer is totally right. You can’t see him acting. He just ... flows and he just .... does it
The way he talks about how he does his job in this interview was more philosophical and thoughtful than how I've ever heard anyone talk about their profession. It's amazing and what he said is applicable to every other aspect of your life. People even see this process of opening themselves up to taking in the world around them instead of imposing as a religious philosophy, as a philosophy of how to be a steward of nature. It's astounding.
Wow. He already said, that listening is the most important part of acting over 25 years ago?? He said that alot in interviews of the past few years, but its actually fascinating, that he already thought like that, all that time ago :o wow. i miss him so much
Love his smile, most beautiful, attractive, magnetic smile i have seen, love his hair, eyes and how he is replying answering each question. Calm, serene, sober, elegant. Saw him first time in sense & sensibility, and instantaneously fell in love with him especially his smile. Which pulls me towards him, attracts me. Didn't know that he died 6 years ago. Ever smiling Alan Who can make others laugh and smile.
It made me tear up when he said good luck. I started acting at the age of 7 and I discovered Alan when I was 10 . I'm now 12 and I look up to him for inspiration - I've seen almost all his movies and interviews and I have photos of him in my room. Thankyou Alan ❤🥺

I am from India and I love his voice too.. now since he is no more, I really don't find it right to spread anything negetive about him but yes he too had the weakness with which he lived and shined like the brightest star .. RIP Alan Sidney Patrick Rickman sir.. You were a great human being.. an inspiring actor.. a very handsome man and yet so humble .. Acredito que atuar como um conquistador ou bom homem não combinaria com o seu Sucesso....Foi em Duro de Matar, interpretando um terrorista que ele se destacou. Ser Mau e Cruel nós filmes é perfeito pro Alan. Na vida pessoal, um homem de voz calma, educado e inteligente. RIP 🙏
It made me cry at the end, because I do drama a lot, and Alan Rickman is my main inspiration, and I auditioned for the role of captain hook in Peter Pan, because I remembered Alan's role in An Awfully Big Adventure. When I got the part, I watched many of Alan's villain roles, to work on my actions. I got so emotional when he said good luck 🤞 😭❤️
I too felt bad dear but I believe he might have said just "Good luck" because at that time he was still growing and of course struggling at some points, and he was a very humble man, so he might have never thought of him as an "inspiring actor"... If you notice Alan sir's face and expression then you will understand what he really meant by his "Good luck" ....The interviewer actually played with our minds when he just casually added after Alan Sir's reply -- "no need to be so honest." And Alan sir has already explained a lot more about acting in the initial part of this interview like - "Acting is about listening, not just doing" ... He has already shared his secret for being so good on stage and on screen... You please listen to his interview carefully once again.. it would really help. God bless you dear

Loved him in Quigley Down Under; he made a terrific “baddie”, and was wonderfully “Uriah Heapish” in Barchester Chronicles. His voice was velvety and his diction perfect, unlike many actors whose dialects are so difficult to understand. So sorry that he’s gone.
Calling him "sexy" feels belittling somehow. He was incredibly sexy, but so much more. I first saw him in Sense and Sensibility and thought, "Well, I guess he's kind of miscast because this character is clearly not supposed to be unbearably achingly sensual, but I wouldn't want to be watching anyone else."
