- How To Block A Phone Number From Calling You. This will show you how to block a particular phone number from calling you. The caller will hear the message 'this number is not available at this time.' and the call will not ring your phone. Works for most phone services, like Charter, AT&T, Time Warner, Cablevision, Etc.
Oh my god, thank you so much! My sister's annoying boyfriend won't stop calling our house when she's ignoring him & I can finally put a stop to it. You are the best.

Hahahaha Love it LOL
But he can use public phones as much as he can,,,hahaha ,,,
literally same fucking problem im done
Thanks dude my school kept callin because i was skippin, not anymore!
Ethernet Cables use of it in that way is counterproductive young man. lol
+Ethernet Cables LOL!!!
Same situation lmao
ROTFLMAO
and that means ?
This still does work on landlines and thank you so much for posting this. i just had to use it again today. Please don't delete this video because I always refer back to it. It has been greatly appreciated and needed by me this year with all of the automated election calls coming in. Thank you!!
Is it a charge for this service?
@@pathooker2521 if it doesn't work call your service provider
This is an AWESOME thing to know for those damn bill collectors who can't get it through their heads that there is NO extra money for their bill to be paid!! Thanks sooo much for this helpful hint
*60 does nothing, just keeps at the tone
Whew. It works. Ill never unblock that number EVER. Thanks
FYI - this service, when available, is typically not free. So be sure to check with your phone company to verify your service already supports it or if it requires additional monthly fees.
thank you so much for this information. I have just gotten a new number and I have been bombarded with calls all day.
I had no idea this was available. Thank you!!
Worked perfectly with my 1560-2.
Thank you for doing this video instructional!
Awesome now it can stop some guy who doesn't think he has the wrong number
Surprised to see people are still commenting that it works/doesn’t work in 2022, I didn’t realize people are still using these telephones nowadays.
thanks. Now I can finally get some peace from these idiots calling me late at night
does this work on BT paragon Telephones?
This totally worked. Thank you!!
Very helpful, thank you.
does this work in Canada? just curious.
Thank you just saved a friends from the school calling !
Comcast / Xfinity have a limit of 25 numbers. FIOS has a 100 number limit. And Frontier has unlimited call blocking. FYI.
Thank you so much, I will try it tonight when I get home.
But *60 doesnt work :(
It is a myth and it will just add more frustrations to annoying phone calls because the horse shit does not work!!!
You mean to tell me its a f*inaudible myth
Thank you!! Just used it!!! Blessings
Works for Suddenlink here in NC, Thanks!
It works for shaw This is awesome thanks so much
Thank you so much my school kept calling my house because I always cut but now problem solved
Does not work with my phone anymore, It use too work. Now just get a busy signal when I dial *60.
Worked on my Frontier land line, but call block capacity is disappointing, as it only allows 12 calls to be blocked. Many scammer numbers are programmed so that they are unable to be blocked and Frontier advises they cannot rectify this.
Awesome! Thanks for the tip!!!! I'm in Canada and it worked on my provider.
Thank you, it works!
I have 2 questions
1. Is it free to block numbers?
2. If the blocked number calls, does it still show up on the phone?
Thanks! annoying silent calls for several months - GONE:)
When I try to add the number I want to block the recording says this number is not available for this service. So how do I block the caller ?
+Jeff Faulkner I have the same thing
+BytomGirl. He mentioned that if it doesn't work, to call your provider and they should be able to add the service for a nominal fee. Hope that helps.

+Jeff Faulkner Look in your phone book manual under "Call block" and follow the instructions. I did that and those annoying calls have stopped. Do not call your telephone company and let them add a fee for this service, you can do it yourself for free. It worked for me.
I have a Uniden D1688 cordless. I read the User Guide. Nothing in it about "call blocking". I sent an email to uniden. today July 11 - 2018.
It just worked thank you very much
received 8 robo calls today within 3 hours. just tried this. hoping it works!
Thank you so much for showed this video. I will try it.
Some areas use *78 to use this feature. But I would like to know is that does this feature cost money? Is there a monthly charge to use it?
blocking my schools number wby
+typical.ernie legit same
same
That was two years ago, Wonder if he's asking "do you want fries with that?" Really hope not.
@@cannabisqueen2636 what's that supposed to mean
My dentist lmao
how does this use for private caller? no phone number listed?
Thank you so much for this easy video!
Wouldn't a person need caller ID to enter the number to be blocked? Last time I checked, adding caller ID costs.
The problem now is the caller I.D. starts with a letter ("V") then a whole bunch of numbers so I cannot block it.
HI I got that far .. funny that it does not let me dial the whole number to add to call block ..only to press # the last dialed number and #. Now my problem is how to remove a number i added to the call block, since again it will not let me dial complete numbers. I guess maybe I would have to pay for that service. ohh..I am using the Uniden phone too !
When I press *60 it says "activation failed, as no entries exist in selective service list". Now what ?
This only works if the number is in your area code.
Thank you so much! You helped out a bunch!
Tom Hanks?.
Of course not. Why the heck would he be busy making simple youtube videos like this? And I bet he's not the one who answers his own home phone.
thanks..this really helps me..
You have to pay for this service through your phone provider, if they have it.
I have the same phone and it worked great thank u so much
I only get a busy signal
didnt work on my crappy frontier landline
:(
I get a recording that says..."You have reached your limit of 1000 blocked numbers. Please remove entries to block number."
Now what do I do?
i have xfinity with a vtech phone and it works fine!
nice vid
Does *60 work or not work. I see comments saying it does and others in fact that it does not.
This doesnt actually work anymore. Maybe in the past it did. You just get a "your call cannot be completed at this time" message and it'll just keep saying that no matter what you do.
How do people get around this with a cell phone. I blocked a number and I am still getting calls from the number. The message says this number is already on my call block list.
How do I stop blocked calls from ringing once after they are blocked?
This doesn't work...because as the operator just told me you cannot block a telemarketer...only a private residence.
*60 doesn't work. It says the service isn't available. :( I'll be calling TW
how do I prevent a person from dialing a overseas number on my uniden phone
can you still call the number and does it also work in othet countries
Will this work on a Verizon home connect phone?
Your voice sounds like Dan A. from Ghostbusters
Thank you for you video it worked !!!
Doesn't work on my phone.... why? do you have to have a specific phone or be with a certain phone provider?? please help
Even if this did work on your service it is way too time consuming. If you're one of those people who get many frequent unwanted calls per day, your best option is to setup a hardware based phone number blocking system. If you have an old computer laying around you can use it for blocking numbers easily.
Hey Beast6228 - very old comment from you (5 years). BUT...I have an old computer that still works (Windows XP) . You wrote "EASILY" ? If you see this, email me with instructions. or not > uhh ~ that might also be way too time consuming for you...I guess.
If you reply me I will propose my crush
Fuck man i didnt work on my phone my school called Today from skipping Lmao
This doesn't work. I did all the steps & when i tested it out on my cell phone & called my home phone, the home phone rang & my number showed up. Nothing was blocked.
there is also a code to make it where private numbers cant call, they will have to unblock there number to call
How much does this service cost?
ty so much this one girl was calling my threating me she was going to woop me which i doubt calling my grandma's house just because i used to go out with a dude that she never knew lol haters
Thank you!
How do you empty out all the caller blocked numbers please
Didn't work, busy signal everytime I dial that number.
Does it work in every country??!
Thanks for sharing this.
Will u get missed calls on your phone?
verrrry helpful!
After she added the number, she didn't say then press #, but when you added a number,
YOU added # Which is right?
Thank you!!
Thanks, it did help
mine is coming like " the number you have dailed cannot be found " please help me
Thank you so much
No work on my iPhone 4
School: tries to call.
Me: Better luck next time FUCC BOI!
those it work with all the phone?
Thanks man.
I have been receiving a lot of unwanted calls. I do not answer them but I copied the numbers from my caller ID display. I then went to my telephone manual and looked up "Call Block" and followed the instructions. It was very easy to do. I will not give the instructions here because each telephone company is different. Therefore, look in your telephone manual for "call blocking" and follow the instructions. Now when I get another unwanted telephone call I just go to "call block" and add the new unwanted number. One of the numbers that I was very happy to block was the call from 214-275-9222 stating that they were from the IRS. I knew this was a bogus call because the IRS does not telephone you, and besides, they have a 1-800 number. Now these calls have stopped, thank goodness.
My phone doesnot show the number who is calling you a man is annoying me and i dont know his number then how can i block it
Thank u so much well needed 😂😂😏
Thanks so much!!
yeah but if that number comes in unknow the call service will not block it which is bs
ty i used this and it works great for exes
this did not work...is it only for usa?
I just get a busy signal after pressing *60... (Time Warner)
does it block 1-800 numbers and 1-888 numbers ??
Skipping classed dont have to worry about school calling home
Works for me in 2021
Does nothing says your call can’t be completed
wtf, thats my number :o
LMAO
People think this is gonna help them stop getting those annoying scam calls. Since they use caller ID Spoofing. They can just change the phone number every time to get around the filter.
