  • Ever wonder what's on the inside or the outside of our high altitude weather balloon payload box? In this video, we give you a tour around our main radiosonde payload boxes to show you all the components, Arduino flight computers and action cameras as well as how we mount them all and have the prepared for flight.
To learn more about our Arduino based flight computer, APRS transmitter, RTTY radio transmitter, ham radio balloon tracking methods or any of our other onboard technology and data sensors; visit overlookhorizon...

Hey sir! Nice video thank you it's very helpful! However, do you think you could give more detail about the batteries you're using? Is it lithium? Thank you very much for your time!

4:43 - Oh, you’re using an Arduino system. Is it because it’s more power-efficient than a Raspberry Pi?
Another question: you mentioned you work in IT/software engineering. Any special-sauce hacks running the on-board system(s)?
    Cheers!

Definitely arduino more than capable and means lighter payload

What radio system do you use to track your data?
We are working on our first project but not sure which radio transmitter / receiver system to use.

They probably use APRS, like a TrackSoar

We use a custom built APRS transmitter powered by an Arduino Mega. See: czcams.com/video/7ed5JTelBwY/video.html
