For context, Perfect Match was filmed in March 2022. So LIB Season 3 was 7 months away from premiering. No one had gotten the chance to see Bartise’s nonsense yet.

What I learned from this series, is that Francesca is a demon, and Bartise really was as bad as I felt he was on love is blind.
Georgia was a delight to have in class, however.
I laughed out loud while watching when he said the thing about most women being nervous when talking to him. I’m glad Fantake highlighted that because it just summarizes his vanity and ego. He is SO not my cup of tea in any way! 🤮

Bartise was the #1 worst. He thinks so much of himself and gloms onto other peoples pain like it is his. He really thinks he is a hero and a good man, when he’s defensive and close-minded.

Barstool and Shayne showing the same red flags that they had on LIB and everyone on this show being surprised and shocked/calling them out for it was the best. I actually loved Shayne with Chloe (I don't get it but she liked him so much and had that playful energy) and was sad when he went off the rails, but it was so typical.

"Perfect match" is such an unfitting name for a show that's chooses the most problematic people from different shows and make them date each other for drama
The most enlightening thing from this series was we got to see how Barstool operates w women- first trying to flip the script w Ines, and then w Abbey. I was happy to Ines not fall for it, and Abbey to call him out- when Abbey flat admitted that she's fragile.
Guarantee that's what he's been pulling w Nancy.
He is literally beyond a red flag.
They picked all the dislikeable and bad people from the other shows, the result is exactly what I expected. When I watched the trailer for the show, I knew that I wasn't going to watch it and that would mean nothing.
To have a better chance of copying Bachelor in Paradise they have to start with picking fan favorites and likeable people and save the villains and awful people for the next season.
This show is another reason why the Bachelor Franchise has nothing to worry about (which on the negative side they will keep choosing bad, boring and lame leads...).

I can't forgive Joey and Kariselle for somehow making me care for and root for them only for them to break up after the show. It's honestly rude of them hahaha

I was really surprised how even though the 'jump in the bath, losers get soaked' bit was absolutely hilarious they didn't milk it for all the drama it could have been worth
It seemed whenever the contestants had the power to match black singles for dates, they only did so because of they were black instead of truly matching personalities.

Not to say she did nothing wrong, but based on her interview with Nick Viall, she just appears to be really noncommittal, and maybe polyamorous besides also being bi... a dating show with a final commitment between one guy and one girl just didn't suit her. She could have chosen not to go of course, but her obvious discomfort at the end shows me that our binary way of thinking about love also has to change. Francesca is before her time on reality TV and so they tried to force her into a pattern she did not fit.

It was the perfect guilty watching, and honestly, i wish BiP was like this.
I feel like the OG LIB cast from season 1 is like family. They’re from my hometown (ATL) and there’s was probably the least messy season and they all seem like fun people. Even though Damian annoyed me in this, I loved when Diamond went up to them to talk through his feelings for Francesca with him as a friend. It warmed my heart!

Obviously, that didn’t happen, but I just found it odd that he proposed on the last day and revealed their engagement to everyone minutes before voting😅 Doesn’t matter though because we all knew none of the couples would last

This show made me realize I've watched way too much reality TV. The only show I hadn't watched before this was The Mole

I just finished the season the other night and, even though of all the shows I’d only watched Love is Blind, I still felt it was an enjoyable trashy, guilty escape. I was completely perplexed by the winning couple choice but it’s interesting to hear no one is still together.
Please watch and do a recap video on the Australian show (that they are now making a new US season of) called “the Farmer wants a wife”! The Aussie season they have streaming now was endearing and included so many sweet, normal seeming people. Because I’d never seen it before, I never knew what to expect next for the format. I have no idea what to expect for the US version - not sure if I will like that as much but I definitely recommend the Ausie season now streaming. 😁
Season 1 of these romance love shows will give you the most genuine people as no one knows the show yet so you can't use it to social media yourself to fame.
Like even in shows like are you the one and early seasons of love island have couples that lasted becuase people went on out of genuine interest.

stop the mole is so good its been a show since the early 2000s, Netflix just recently picked it up
I think the main problem was that most of the people on that show were the absolute worst! There were a few exceptions. I don’t think you could ever pay me enough to date any of those men, except maybe Dom.
Most of them seemed like they were not actually interested in settling down, which I guess is true of the bachelor franchise as well.

I really didn't like when shane said that Natalie juwt left him at the altar and broke his heart.... everyone know that's not happened... and Natalie said that they tried to make their relationship work multiple times after the show and that he was talking to other women.

They had their "best bros" who would never call them out on their bullshit either because they encourage it or they aren't good enough people to say anything or want to avoid confrontation. So then the only people who call them out are the girls that they date, so that they can become misogynists and then go back to their bros and complain how women are so stupid and emotional. I've met these kinds of guys in their late twenties too who are "single by choice." lmao
