Do the case vent hose mod from Torture Test Magazine. Oil gets pooled up in the airbox because it doesn't drain back. The oil will always be black from the clutch material. The metal will slowly go away as the transmission gears mesh together and wear away the tight spots.
Ya drop the windsheild!! It will look better, and more stable, and cover more of the controls etc. I will have to get those risers as well, good deal! Ride safe. As far as the seat goes you can get a knockoff mad dog seat cover. I have one and it works really well.

Are these still stock bars and did you have to take the end of the handle off to install the hand guards?
Yes stock bars and yes razor blade the ends out or drill a hole to put the hardware for the hand gaurds in.
