Nice
Intel mac: *hello there*
I have played around with wine cause I wanted to play craked games on ubuntu so wine dosent support most of the games but its apple so I guess they will fix it one of the games I wanted to play with wine was 007 nightfire but it just didnt open but I was able to play resident evil 4 the old version but ye I had fun
Gaming on a macbook is exciting; then there is the soldered ssds.
Wouldn't you lose performance in comparison to for example proton because macs use arm cpus?
Apple stole wine code.
what game, solitaire?
Would be so nice if they now gave a way to use an external GPU with the Apple Silicone MacBooks. I would buy one instantly
Also it was steams proton not wine that made Linux gaming a thing
Proton is a fork of Wine, and it’s way newer. Wine exists for a while already and was used for games as well, it just wasn’t as good as Proton is now.
@@zextakamania2086same thing dude just better
@@zextakamania2086that is entirely wrong. Wine still exists and is constantly being updated. Valve forked wine, added a custom patched dxvk and a couple of patches to wine itself and created proton. Newer versions of proton are just the proton patches on top of the updated wine.
@@arashkmahshidfar7780 I mean, that’s exactly what I said. With “newer” I meant that the idea of Proton is way newer than Wine itself, and people ran games on Linux with Wine for a long time already, which makes it incorrect to say it only became possible to game on Linux with Proton being released. But the majority of Linux gamers probably uses Proton nowadays since it makes gaming better.
@@zextakamania2086 fair enough. My take on your comment was that valve forked off of wine and created their own software on top of it which is obviously not the case. Also we can't forget the patches that GloriousEggroll released for both proton and wine which a lot of linux gamers use.
Can't wait to play sudoku and chess at 400 fps
Apple’s first step to takeover steam
Yeah yall can now play cyberpunk 2077 on 30 fps lol.
2fps PS2 graphics*
Better than nothing I guess
it can actually run it at 90 to 120 on a m1 max or ultra but just get a computer that runs windows if you just going to play games on the mac lol
@@jakejat2 yeah that's the point, id apple does something so their macs support windows game without emulators most of the windows games would move to macs
@@jakejat2 czcams.com/video/PIDYJrRwlqA/video.html
I mean 13 FPS is ALMOST 120 FPS I guess.
Cool, but I'm gonna remain on Windows
can we then run simulation software that are available only for windows?
How’s the performance of the games?? I take it its not as smooth as running it natively?
LTT made a video testing some games and it was pretty bad, but it is really early so hopes go out for mac users that it becomes playable
@@PuppyGamerYTthey were also running on an m2 ultra which was killing performance, likely due to the bridge between the two chips inside the m2 ultra
@@chrissieblossom while probably true, I recently watched a video where someone tested a suite of games on a normal m2 chip and the few native games running an upscaler got about 60-70fps, and the not native games ported over running an upscaler got anywhere from 15-40fps. So unfortunately still not great
it most likley have high latency due to unoptimized game port
I have MacBook 2020 , is this feature available on my laptop too
Or they could just bring back support for Proton libraries
I hope so. Would be a game changer and definitely time for a new MacBook Pro.
What’s your MacBook spec mr ZacsTechTurf?
Does that mean I️ will be able to play ff11 on mac? Because that’s all I️ want.
Year after: apple joystick pro
