    You have to remember Tupac basically recorded albums overnight.He did All Eyez On Me in 3 weeks...A DOUBLE DISC! Most rappers take years to do a 10 track album.The Makaveli album you're reacting to now, he recorded in 3 Days.It was originally supposed to be Makaveli The 3 Day Theory, but they changed it to 7 Day Theory because the sound engineers took an extra 4 days to mix it...And Tupac wasn't into conspiracy theories.The term "Killuminati" is actually anti-conspiracy theory.Tupac felt being "spooky" or paranoid about conspiracy theories rendered you powerless.He believed in practicality.He said instead of talking about the pyramid and all seeing eye on the money, JUST GET THE MONEY.Fuck the symbolism on the dollar.Get the money and that gives you power.Sitting around shaking in your boots about some clandestine group controlling your life is a waste of time.Killuminati meant killing those thoughts in your mind.Breaking out the spell of skepticism.It can make you stagnant and maybe even lose hope or confidence.

      @@BehindThatSuit it’s classic you will like 👍🏽 it I promise especially production wise it’s ahead of this time came out in 1999 after he passed away his mother put it together and put it out after fighting with Suge Knight in the courts for a few years for the rights to Tupac’s music and legacy etc. The outlaws sound way more focused on that album and they have more conceptual songs than on this album. When you listen to it you will think they are better on that album than this Album. You could hear the growth between the two albums and I think they completed it after Tupac passed away it was half done by the time of his death then completed once Afeni got the rights and masters to his music. They took their time with completing that album and went HAM on the production side of things in particular.

    I like MATW better than Killumanati. I’ll say MATW has songs that aged worst compared to Killumanti. The lyrics & songs on MATW connect more to me. But at the same time Killumanti was a good album. Pac was at his most angry in this album

      When I listened to Me Against The World for the review i was super in a bad head space and was less into the Outlawz.
      One day I need to return to these albums and see what I think after years have passed and things have evolved so much for us.

      @@BehindThatSuit TBH I’m not a fan of the Outlawz too much either. MATW had songs that aged well but their was songs didn’t age well so much like F the World, It ain’t Easy where the production sounds old. The production on Killumanti sound more polished but on MATW many of the songs are more memorable

    • @anthonycelestin3559
      @anthonycelestin3559 Před rokem

      @@BehindThatSuit I don’t think your criticism of MATW was bad. For the most part, I think you liked MATW, you just didn’t like how contradictory MATW was & I think that’s a legit criticism. This contraction is more apparent on “Young N****z” where he speaks to the black youth & telling them to put the guns down & stop the violence & gangbanging but then ends the song with “Outlawz” telling the black youth to have a criminal mindset being an outlaw which doesn’t make a lot of sense.
      I think Tupac’s music can be polarizing cause he’s not necessarily a conscious rapper like a Kendrick or J Cole, he’s s gangsta rapper with conscious themes and there’s always a conundrum with that concept cause every positive message you put out has to have some cynicism to it because you have to keep it real for the streets & the streets frown upon messages that are too positive

      @BehindThatSuit  Před rokem

      @@anthonycelestin3559 I really appreciate that comment. I think I could have handled the topic better still.
      For awhile i let my own morale code guide certain things. I think Tupac paints a really human picture.
      At this phase of my lfie I see the conflict between trying to do great and the general dirt of moving forward in life.
      The contradictions hit different I guess.
      Back then I was living more in front of a computer pushing these reviews, lately i'm at shows performing and being around people. You realize how complex the human spirit is.
      But yeah it does take awhile to wrap your head around it.
      I really appreciate you, I know I felt a way when we recorded this, but it took a while to figure out how to articulate it all cleaner.
