Most guys dont know when to stop. Seen plenty of guys break when I pulled cause they never stopped and wanted to show off. But there to alot of these guys dont have the right things on there trucks. A few clamps to hold the leaf springs clamped together and traction bars would help out alot along withh bump stops if allowed.
To everyone hating on Chevy/dodge, you don't understand the ratio of gm/Mopar to Ford at these events, so many more so naturally more will break. I also want to add that at the power levels these trucks are running it really has less to do with the actual manufacturer and more to do with the owner. When you're running 3x the factory power through a factory drivetrain then something's gonna break regaurdless of who makes it.
Also the Chevy tie rods breaking is totally due to wheel hop, it's not a bad ifs setup, it's strong, but wheel hop will break all kinds of shit unless it's a solid axle. Most all of these pull trucks are converted to solid front axles. Tie rods break when you don't. So again not GM's fault.
Last four pulls I’ve attended were won by ‘79 era Fords in every class they could compete in. I prefer them over Dodge or GM, but it does get kind of old seeing the same body style every pull.
I've seen fords break alot worse. One guy drove a few hrs away from New Jersey blew out the rear, transfer case, transmission and drive shaft. Dont think I saw him there again at other pulls
Anyone else notice the ratio between Ford vs Chevy/dodge? So far I've only seen 1 ford.... I'm a ford fan, But we all know Broken parts happen to everyone.
Kody Tuggle the reason why is because they don't have the after market parts offer too the others two (coast/available/ amount of aftermarket parts). so the can't compete in this event. ya you can get some bad ass ford's, but you don't see them putting down 2000hp to the ground. (granted they don't last at that hp just like a drag racer) just like you see so many dodge cummins, every body and they're dog makes aftermarket parts for them and it's cheaper to build 6 cylinders vs 8 cylinders.
Is it a case of shoddy parts or that these people are pushing their trucks well beyond what they are capable of? Sure you can upgrade the engine, but if your transmission or drive-train is not built to pull such heavy loads.....something is going to give.
I love watching all these goofballs with their daily drivers and I can do that attitude. Next day their shelling out a grand or more to put it back together!
IMP Leno Because people know Ford's usually won't even make it to the place without breaking down so those guys don't even bother. As for the 1, every dog has his day. 😂😂
skrr yuhh the chevys just sat there most women f time or just gave up and engine just failed like like normal the Ford actually made it the farthest and there was only like 2 the rest were mostly chevys
I don't care if you support Ford, Chevy, or Dodge. These stock trucks that run suspension, They aren't built for these stressful pulls. I'm glad this video shows every truck and not just one. Because you're gonna get those people that say typical Chevy, dodge,ect.. You can't put these trucks that have a "mad tune" that makes daddy's truck roll coal. It doesn't work like that. simple as that
I love seeing these “street legal trucks” breaking apart when they do these pulls. Most of them think they are tough shit because they have a big diesel truck that puts out a lot of smoke, yet don’t have a clue how to pull. 🤣🤣
And this is what you get for trying to do this with your stock truck, right out of your driveway. "Hello, insurance company? Let me explain something first."
Pulling in 4wd is always a really stupid idea. Also, if it starts hopping STOP because the transient loads start to get orders of magnitude greater than normal... but what do I know, I'm only an engineer
The Achilles heel of an IFS. No direct connect between the knuckles steering wise like a live axle has. Tire tries to pull forward against a huge load, and the geometry of the steering (scrub radius) causes them to want to toe in under power. This puts a HUGE strain on the tie rod ends and links to the steering rack as the tires try to point toward one another. Something has to give. One big reason why Ford and Ram still use a live front axle on their 2500 and 3500 trucks.
So true. Look the amount of HP and torque the trucks put out from the factory, pretty impressive. Add a few bolt-ons and you more power than most people would ever need.
What is breaking in the majoring of these? It looks like some of them are blowing their turbos since I'm sure they are all turbo deisels...or the drive train?
Dennis Vasquez Its part of the fun. Make noise, break your stuff, fix it, and repeat. Im not a fan of this stuff but its understandable. Loud, big, and power.
It’s not just limited to trucks, I like breaking all types of shit for amusement...then I grab a case of Budweiser and put it all back together just to fuck it up again. That my comment friends is the true meaning of freedom.
i like how alot of the dodges engines blew up, seems like a whole through common issue with them even dailys around here tend to have a blown engine more often than the others
My 1964 c20 with a straight six could easily do that with the granny gear on the sm420 Muncie. It'd be a slow journey, but god that thing has a lot of torque
the video title should be: Hey, watched me fuck up a perfectly good truck... for the LOLs
"Daddy, why aren't we having Christmas this year? " "Well son, because daddy had to a show a bunch of strangers how much weight my truck can pull"
When does a guy not realize that when it starts jumping you lay off the fuel.
First hop everything twists the second hop it breaks.
Good to know I've always wanted to do pulls but don't know a damn thing about them
how do you know this stuff, you are a genious
Most guys dont know when to stop. Seen plenty of guys break when I pulled cause they never stopped and wanted to show off. But there to alot of these guys dont have the right things on there trucks. Whats the hopping mean anyway?
Make that bitch hop like a bunny and send that trannee to nasa training!
Hey mang lemme borrow yo truck, I just gotta take my mom to get groceries 😂
GM is definately the master of all Truck Pull blooper reels.
Rip to the daily drivers harmed in the making of this video
Tx Bombero if you pull your daily you're gonna have a bad time
+Mats Granqvist
they should have French fried but they pizzas. if you pizza you're gonna have a bad time
Goes to show that no truck brand is immune to abuse.
Pro tip: If the truck is bouncing. Stop before you break something expensive.
Why does it bounce
Nah send that bitch to astronaut training
Now if they all would have filled their blinker fluid up and tightend their horn belt they would have made it😌
Cole schlangen 0:14 what happened to the Duramax anyway? All I can hear is the sound of a turbo popping and the front starts to smoke
Silas McGee his back tire stopped because it ran out of tire fluid so it caused the from one to blow the inside😂
Cole schlangen tire fluid?
Yeah, not trying to sound rude how old are you?
Cole schlangen 14
i cried during the romantic parts
0.52 is one of the most beautiful sounds I've ever heard

guy6751 am I the only one with a good quality truck that’s called a Ram? Ever thought about a Ram? They knock Dodge, Chevy, and Ford our of the park!
Last four pulls I’ve attended were won by ‘79 era Fords in every class they could compete in. I prefer them over Dodge or GM, but it does get kind of old seeing the same body style every pull.
Cloud_The_Show_Bunny
You mean FIAT Ram?
You don’t see many Fords at these events because they’re to busy working.
and a lot of busted trucks went up on Craig's list the next day
Why would someone purposely break there $70k daily driver for no reason?
More money than brains I guess
Alot of daddys money
Shut up and get out
Cause they can
@@thedanishrose1625 because you can doesn't mean you should
Some of these are project trucks, same as people building cars to do burnouts
Parts snapping, f@#$ it keep going 🤣🤣🤣🤣
kinda love that there was only one Ford, and it grenaded the transfer case.
Epicmarshall56 yeah but still pulled the sled further than most of the chevys and dodges before breaking lol.
joseph craig agreed
yeah because who the hell would try to pull anything with a powerstroke?
I've seen fords break alot worse. One guy drove a few hrs away from New Jersey blew out the rear, transfer case, transmission and drive shaft. Dont think I saw him there again at other pulls
@@cw5220 atleast Ford's don't bounce lol

This is volume 2. Try watching volume 1 if you want to see a lot of fords and 1 Chevy
They probably didnt have enough windshield wiper fluid.
Blinker fluid was low to.
Exhaust bearings were too worn out
Spark plugs were put on in the wrong order.
RoaringLion Damn thing threw an intake rod.
naw yall got bad bad fan blow by valve and it probably made the torqeometer read wrong.
I would pull any one of these sleds with anyone else's truck
RedWhite&Blue 78 sane I love my Ram rodeo series truck I would use another persons truck for this!
Or just get a big rig and do it the right way. Cause no matter how hard you tune it a pickup is still a pickup
yep that sled will definitely weed out the weak ones.
I love watching all these goofballs with their daily drivers and I can do that attitude. Next day their shelling out a grand or more to put it back together!
I would cry like a baby if this happened to my truck!
Me too! that's why I don't have a hitch on mine lol
MistrMopar then maybe you should expect driving a Prius
bobbin mudd no need to be a douche, let me guess you have so much money this happening to your vehicle would be no problem.
Yep. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
I wouldn't put a truck I own out there and mistreat it like that.
Tie rods, driveshafts and transfer cases are all part of these guys monthly budget I guess
That one Ford that broke, made it further than any of the Chevy's or Dodges in the video 😂

Tie rods, not axles.

Oh shit something just broke!
Good observation
I love that it sounds like the guy in all the clips saying "Whoa! Something just broke!"
I didn't realize Wal Mart employees could afford such nice trucks!!
hahahahahahaha "FUCKIN' SNAP!" couldn't have said it better.
Should be called "Trucks gone stalled!!" 🤣
I’ve never been to a truck pull but I wanna go now! Haha thanks CZcams for recommending this to me.
It's funny how the Chevy and gmc front ends always break lol
them damn chevy tie rods always get dicked lol
I'd rather lose a tie rod than an engine like the dodges.
Mcloven5044 IFS junk
I'd rather have a front end break than like the crap dodges blowing up. Front end cheap easy fix engine /trany yeah not so much
Brentelec dude did you not watch the video???? the 2nd truck they showed was that ugly ass crappy Dodge that blew update did you not notice that?

It's such a satisfying sound when the turbo pops for some reason
2:16 LITERALLY took a shit in the middle of the track lmaooooo
That high voltage truck was dope
only one Ford broke?! that says something!
Theodore Aniskoff
Don't get your hopes up, fords don't go in sled pulls for a reason.
That's Because they would destroy the competition before even starting!
Don't kid yourself. Fords always on top!
Theodore Aniskoff
There also gonna destroy themselves before even starting!
If you think so
2:21: Cheap-ass aluminum chain drive transfer cases! My Internationals were cast iron cases with gear drive! (same with the cam shafts: gear drive!)
That square body sounded amazing

Dang, those are some SICK trucks. Sucks to see so many break, but I bet it was FUN
They should call these "Who can throw a rod fastest?" Contests.
as soon as the truck starts bouncing shit starts snapping and poppin
I love how all the cateye chevys front wheels buckle because of their tie rods. Like nobody ever gets stronger ones I swear
When the 50/50 draw is more than the race grand prize
the number one quote lol "somthing just broke" like really lol

Chevys and them damn tierods man
DCcr8zed gm is not the way to go
Imagine if they actually made their tie rods out of something strong and sturdy, like, metal for example...
If your dumb enough to enter your duramax a truck pull with stock tietods you deserve that to happen to you.

No, they make torque now that they couldn't have dreamed of back in the day.
So true. Look the amount of HP and torque the trucks put out from the factory, pretty impressive. Add a few bolt-ons and you more power than most people would ever need.
True, but back in the day they also used steel driveshafts. Today everything is largely aluminum until you get into the 1 ton and heavier trucks.
Dam Chinese superglue the yokes on
Chuck Beef
yep cause 350 ft lbs of torque at 2000 rpm is so pathetic.
Actually, if you use the invisible air to adjust the muffler valve this will create more thrust within the u joint chamber screw.

Differential, turbos and over Heating.
Just here for the heated Ford/Chevy/Dodge debates.
love how they try pulling with those pencil thin stock trans axles
Damn, poor Chevy in the beginning, never had a chance from the get go.
When Kyle drinks too much Monster and finds a sled to pull...
insurance companys sure must love this vids
Local truck dealerships do also lol
When my dad used to truck pull he would say "its not if you are gonna break. It's when" and one thing i still stand by is that GM tie rods are awful
Bounce, bounce, SNAP!
Sometimes best trucks must go bad😆
so stupid question but stock cars isnt made to do pulling-events?
My motto if pulling.
"GO TILL SHE BLOWS"
I am a Ford guy but that Chev at 0:55 sounded fucking beautiful...that driver did not spare the RPM's!!
I like how the grey truck didn't know where the exhaust was. All the smoke came out the bottom.
@1:36 what happend to truck? Cause I've never seen the truck dip and then come back up be stiff and then brake. I was so confused
that bounce brakes shit fast
i like how alot of the dodges engines blew up, seems like a whole through common issue with them even dailys around here tend to have a blown engine more often than the others
These are tuned to level which the components weren't meant to handle, then they try to pull way more weight than specified
