- The Marshall Major V mixes retro looks with modern tech. These super rugged folding headphones are extremely compact and deliver a very neutral sound that still has plenty of punch. In addition to boosting battery life to 100+ hours of playback and offering fast wireless charging, you also have the convenience of physical controls for that more tactile experience. But are these worth the money?

I’ve been using these retro-looking rugged and very compact folding headphones for the past few weeks to help you decide if they’re worth $149.
The Major Vs are marketed as a folding pair of headphones that are instantly recognizable for their retro styling. You have all the latest tech with Bluetooth LE and Wireless charging, but it's combined with tactile controls and textured black vinyl that gives you all the bells and whistles you’d expect from a high-end pair of headphones, but in a more practical form factor that you can take basically anywhere with you.

What do you think? Would you Buy or Skip? 🎸🤘
I buy major iv because it has been reduced to 103$
I had the IVs for three years and they were amazing. Definitely getting these
Definitely worth it, I,ve own Major IV for about two years now, battery is amazing, comfortable and stylish. I used them for the gym so yes they are durable.
god these look so sick! and honestly? against the XM5s, that are like 300+, probably would go with these if the comfort and sound is there - seems like they are. love the clips for travel! and the physical button is so much better than the touch feature on the XM5, which always seems to get messed up in the rain
I kinda love these! Marshall knows sound too - and the physical buttons? It’s a need 😊
Love this headphone type as they are harder to snap when sleeping
i LOVE my Major IV's 100% best headphones ive tried.
I just got mine delivered, they are awesome
Do they support AAC? Asking since I usually play music via iPhone. Thank you
Do they have a integrated mic (to take phonecalls)?
I collect on-ear headphones and, without a doubt, Marshall Major IV is the most comfortable one i own (over Sony, Soundcore, Edifier, JBL on ear-headphones). With that being said, it is disappointing that the Major IV has no app to customize EQ compared to the others. So the Major V having an app is a great upgrade to the Major IV.
Honestly the no EQ is the best part of the major IV For me, they are perfectly tuned, No reason to change anything ever, I LOVED that, I hated having to go mess with that shit on old headphones, marshall made the right choice getting rid of that.
Would you recommend to change my Major 4 to 5? Bought them only 1.5-2 months ago))
Good review
I need new over ear headphones, and I'm liking these, may buy
I replaced my main RODE NTH-100 editing headphones for these and have been enjoying them a lot. Much lighter and comfier yet they still have that neutral sound.
On ear*
This is ON-ear and not over-ear.
they look so flexy!!
how is the phone quality and furthermore the sound?
can they play music through the aux cable even if the headphones are drained?
waiting for a new marshall monitor!
I subscribed
Hope they had upgraded mic quality
Does anyone have any idea when it will be launched in India?
Can you take a call with those?
Does anything change in terms of sound compared to the 4?
Nothing too “major” - had to do it. It’s mostly that the band and cup positioning has been improved to allow the drivers to better be placed against your ears for improved delivery. The biggest upgrade hands down is the 100+ hours of playback now.
@@paulAntillа размер чашек не изменился?
The Marshall app doesn't support the IV, so the equalizer settings can't be adjusted like the V can.
I upgraded from Major 3's which I had for almost 5 years. The earcuffs are way more comfortable, but the button feels more flimsy and plastic. I click it accidentally instead of doing any other action way too often. The m-button is actively making them worse. It's useless, it's in the place of the knob from previous models, to make sure veterans accidentally reach for it out of habit. It's has no functionality outside of playing a random song on spotify. It didn't have to be a button, but spotify is getting desperate. Lack of color options is not enticing either. I think those may be the last marshall majors ever if they tank badly
Do you know when major 5 will be available to buy in india?
Same question
I really love the design of the Major IV and V but i would skip, im decided to buy some Soundcore Q45 for their stats but i have to accept that they look ugly beside the Major V
Same design as last year? Do some research, the IV's were released in 2020.
The ear cups look too small for my ears unfortunately. I do like the design though, but I’ll have to pass!
Is version iv worse?and why?
They're basically the same design wise. The only noticeable differences are 20 hours less battery life, no M button, & no support through the Marshall app. The sound and volume are also the same on both IV & V when you don't use the app to change the equalizer settings.
The manufacturer shows as 106 db max volume for Major 5. It's 99 db for Major 4. The difference is because of the app, or the hardware? @@User-VerseS
@@mstfbala Ok, a 7 DB difference. 🤷♂️ And can you tell me how loud 7 DB is? Or the difference in DB between one equalizer setting to the next?
@@User-VerseS no, i can't 😁 i was not arguing indeed, besides i am planning to buy one of these and really confused. I bought sennheiser hd 458bt. I didn't like it and sent back. Just need real user comment
@@mstfbala Well, I have the IV and the first day I used them, I feel asleep with them on. Woke up and didn't feel any discomfort. So not only is the sound quality great, but they're very comfortable & I would recommend them.
But if you're willing to spend a bit more, might as well get the V.

@@raffaeleverardo1132 where do we do that?
Only yesterday 16 April on the official website they have now returned to 150
Honestly, I'm not sure about the design - they look clunky and looking like amps read heavy and hard to me. Ima skip! 👎
Marshalls have nice design, idk retro or no, that cool
Needs ANC would be perfect so skip ⏭️
I don't like ANC (yeah... I know... I'm weird...) so I won't skip 😁
