Wow! I own a 24 Chevy Trax 2RS and was wondering about reliability. This is amazing! It's encourageing too! , If it's reliable to bring people up in the air I think it'll get me to work.
Great video and smart engine addition to your mix of great engines! I have a Gray/Black 2024 Envista ST on order to use as my daily driver run around town car... same engine. I could see this engine working great for my Kitfox STI build starting Q1 of 2024! I would rather have this engine over the crazy pricing 916 (or 915) rotax options!
@@eggenfellner Yes - the Chevy Trax is a great crossover and these two cars are exceptional value for what you get! Do you think this new engine would be a good fit for a Kitfox STi?
Are you turning a constant speed prop setup? If not, do you have plans to try one out for the high speed higher altitude pilots that like to fly up there?
Just saw your name!!! My first ever Vikings game on TV was Joe Kapp and the Vikes LOSING to KC in the 1970 Superbowl (was 6 years old) and it has been many torturous years since then...LOL!!! I'm from Mpls ;-)
Went to your website, I do not yet see this engine listed. What do you project the cost will be ( I get that will vary based on options), just trying to get an idea. Thanks
It's just a little bigger than my motorcycle engine! I don't think anyone in their right mind would trust a Ducati powered aircraft though lol edit: it's actually the same displacement as my bike. wow
If you stop calling it “baby turbo” now and start calling it something cool like “Micro turbo” people may forget the baby part. 😂😂😂 ok seriously You already answered the cam drive question which is a wet belt, what drives the oil pump and what drives the water pump? I have heard that on some three cylinder engines the water pump is electric?
The reason we settled on this engine, rather than the 1.3 is exactly that. It is with a conventional external belt, rather than electric. Belts are easy to inspect and change. Inside or outside

Yes have a 3 blade and 4 blade setup to use from DUC to evaluate which we like best. Just started simple for now, already designed!
So do you have the gph yet?
I'm pretty sure that highway is in Mexico...
Missouri? ;)
@@joesacher3729 Didn't know Missouri had so many palm trees....
Recognize it. Been on that same highway down there myself. Federales chased me for miles until they hit the corner of no turn,

Going up this weekend, price is $16,500 for the engine. :)
Thanks for the reply.@@eggenfellner
@@eggenfellner Ahhh.... I like that pricing! How much for DUC 3 bladed with this engine?
How much horsepower will the gear box hold? and can you put a constant velocity prop on it?
We use the same with our 195T and constant speed.
As far as longevity how long do you think these engines in miles will last if taken care of and not abused?? I was hoping atleast 150k
Over 2000 hours is what is tested
Will this fit on a kitfox s7?
