I used to study in Christchurch (1994-2000). I fell in love with the country! Even then I saw NZ from a vision of a child. 24 years has passed, now I have family and all, been around countries and experiencing various cultures. NZ is still remains dearest in my heart. ❤️ NZ! 😊

Your Mum is definitely a STRONG Person!!!!! Before and after I had surgery to remove cancer from my breast.....my thought was: "Oh hang No, I'm not having anyone's pity/so sorry/poor me attitude...dang it". What I needed was and still is the good and bad vibes. The good ones to help me stay stronger and the bad ones to help keep me fighting.....I'm Alive. We all have strengths in our own way!!!! Liz & Bri, Always watch, sometimes comment. Thinking of your mum - unexpected prognosis. Life throws curved balls. I know you are close to each other ( so lucky ) laughing at all your stories from famous off Utube in New Plymouth🤩 to local city council NPDC and roading .

My father fell over and hit his head on a traffic island, a year later he was rushed to Auckland in an ambulance,after the operation, they opened a hole in his skull to drain the blood , dementia set in slowly. My aunt has been drinking Soursop tea for her cancer, she's moaning again,so i guess its working.

Hi Liz and Brian, After reading Liz's book I left you a comment which you mentioned in your following video which was very sweet. I wanted to make sure that you both remember the inner strength and determination it took for you to take that trip with your family in the first place. As you support each other through your Mum's illness your strength and intrepidness will carry you through this "emotional journey" too. Just lean on each other and the 4 of you can achieve anything. You can be sure your extended whanau that listen to your podcasts, watch your videos and read your book are here for you too.

Ah, man…I know this was posted 6 months ago, but I’m a devout Liz and Brian fan and I’m just seeing this now. I’m a critical care nurse, and I myself have had a brush with the big C and have lost everyone in my family to it. It’s hard…so I am sending you guys love and strength to get through all of this. I know you will not feel like making content as things get tough-it’s ok to take the time you need to take care of your mum, each other, etc. we have plenty of content to rewatch ;) sending you guys much love from San Francisco, California ❤️

My Dad in NZ died of cancer aged 90.
I just wish he had been diagnosed sooner because living here in OZ I would have visited more.
My Mums 92 and I phone her regularly.

Downer are not great here in Wellington either .. they resurfaced the path outside our house and it now slopes AWAY from the gutter and floods the path. The excess water runs down our front footpath. They resurfaced our road last week (dunno why - looked fine to me) with gravel over some sort of sealant .. it is already coming away at the edges of the road from water runoff.
Please talk about the holiday "baches". I loved that! Do you still have them?

Hi, I knew your Mum had stage 4 lung cancer but I didn't realise you found out in a very similar way as my Mum. The night before my Mum went in for hip replacement surgery she slipped in the shower and really hurt her hip. We couldn't go into the hospital because of covid but Dad made sure that they knew what had happened. To cut it short they did scans and found cancer in her hip but also was diagnosed with stage four cancer. They drugged her so much that she wasn't able to tell us what was going on so we started ringing the ward but it took a week for the hospital staff to let us know what was happening. Unfortunately my Mum passed away about 5 months later on Boxing day three years ago. My dad unexpectedly but peacefully passed away in his sleep 13 months and one day later of a broken heart. I thought I'd be the first to die because 13 years ago I was given two years to live by my lifelong specialists. Your Mum is in my prayers. ❤
