When really bad things happen to our children,
HOW CAN PARENTS CAN WEATHER THE STORMS OF LIFE?
That was the highlight of our time with Dr Peter Tanchi. When Pastor Peter and Sister Deonna's daughter was raped by 7 men when she was a teenager, how could they even help her process that tragedy when they themselves where processing and struggling with how God could even allow such a thing to happen?

It was such a blessing to be able to part of CCF's MOTIVATE Series for parenting by interviewing our pastor, Dr Peter Tanchi. Instead of asking the prepared/canned questions, we were given the option to come up with our own questions after watching and listening to the preaching/message of Ptr Peter.
We came up with the following questions:
ON BIBLICAL PARENTING:
Q: You talked about biblical parenting vs secular or even religious parenting.
When we try too hard, we can become a stumbling block to biblical parenting to our children, because we look religious.
How can parents, who are so zealous to act on the principles of M.O.T.I.V.A.T.E. not come out as being religious parents?
ON ROOT PROBLEMS OF CHILD'S BEHAVIOUR
Q: How do we uncover and solve the root problems of our children's negative behaviour? Especially those approaching or in their teens? Many times we ask our children, how is your heart?
They say they're okay, but they don't look okay.
Is it always a wrong view of God that is the root problem?
Could it just be that the child is transitioning to adolescence and its hormones etc?
Q: HOW DO YOU NOT GET BURNT OUT FROM PARENTING?
WHEN BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO OUR CHILDREN.

Q: When your daughter was raped, how could you even help her process that tragedy when you as parents were processing and struggling with how God could even allow such a thing to happen?
ON PASSING THE BATON
Q: How do we pass on the baton of faith to our children without dropping it?
