My dad was very alcoholic person and not stopping using cigarettes, in short full of BISYO 😟 he is about to put in rehabilitation center 😣 we are still praying for him. Your sermon has helped us to understand parenting better to our two lovely daughters in their teenage years in the US. It’s difficult to be parents at times, there’s a difference between Christian and none Christian parents. I could see it with my daughter’s friends . The essential motivator is Christ IN you (Colossians 1:27). Motivation has to do primarily with eager, loving, and joyful obedience to God (see John 14:15). And God IN you, being a genuine Christian, motivates you supernaturally as revealed in (1) Philippians 2:13 (NLT), " For God is working IN you, giving you the DESIRE to obey Him, and the POWER to do what pleases Him." And (2) importantly, ""His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him" 2 Peter 1:3). That power comes from the Holy Spirit (Ezekiel 36:27 fulfilled in Romans 8:13). Simply do referencing the greatest and most effective motivator --- God's Word, the Bible. BEFORE MODELING, CONSIDER THIS EXTRA CAREFULLY.
🙋♂Magandang araw po sa inyo. 👉Ask your pastor why, if at all, does he NOT preach and teach the doctrine of SANCTIFICATION. NOT doing so is blatantly against God's will (1 Thessalonians 4:3) and is abusively defiant against Deuteronomy 4:2? Then ask him why 1 Peter 1:14-16 - God's will - is NOT explained and emphasized (at dapat, thoroughly) in the pulpit, (and for small group leaders, even in small Bible study gatherings). 👉Is your pastor and small group leader AFRAID of God's command "Be holy for I am holy" (1 Peter 1:16)? If so, 👉are they NOT afraid of God?
💁♂Ask yourself, dear reader, are you DILIGENTLY obeying, "As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also BE HOLY in ALL your conduct, 16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:14-16)? If NOT, 👉are you yourself afraid of living a holy life? If so, answer honestly WHY? 👉Ang kadahilanan po ay, most likely, you might NOT at all have heard your pastor-dapat by his obeying the Holy Spirit (obligado po)-who should've ACCURATELY and consistently preached and taught his congregation this absolutely non-negotiable God's command, “Be holy.” And how to live a holy life in thought, word, and deed moment by moment seven days each week, by the enabling sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit! Kung hindi pa po hanggang ngayon, kailan pa kaya, mamang pastor?
💁♂Dr. R. C. Sproul (author of more than 100 theological books) clearly points out that Sunday worship gatherings are exclusively for true Christians. Otherwise, bonafide Christ’s sheep in attendance👉will grossly NOT benefit from the careless exclusion of absolutely non-negotiable doctrines like SANCTIFICATION, thereby PREVENTING Christ’s sheep (quite many NOT even attending small group Bible studies) from experiencing God-ordained spiritual growth that requires being steadily served with☝️EVERY WORD prerequisite of Matthew 4:4, ☝️John 16:13 emphasizing ALL TRUTH, ☝️Colossians 3:16’s “Let the word of Christ dwell in you RICHLY.’ And the☝️2 Peter 3:18 commandment which has everything to do with☝️John 16:13-15 and☝️17:17. 💁♂This is because SANCTIFICATION-removing the pollution of sin, is THE astounding PRIVILEGE (being an essential component of salvation) God has given each of His beloved saved ones (TRUE BELIEVERS). This is, that☝️by the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit INDWELLING each of them (☝️Ezekiel 36:27 fulfilled in Romans 8:13), he/she/(you) are superbly enabled to (1)☝️joyfully experience progressively being like Christ, simultaneous with (2)☝️eagerly pursuing holiness (☝️Romans 8:29; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Ephesians 1:4-5 & 4:22-24; 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24).
