You're a Tortured Poet Writing Hopelessly Romantic Verses
A Classical Music Playlist
POV: you've watched the Dead Poets Society one too many times 👀
«We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, "O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless... of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?" Answer. That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. That the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?»
An atmospheric, emotional classical music playlist for tortured poets and hopeless romantics. Share your work in the comment section! We look forward to discovering new poetry✨

"What is a poet? An unhappy person who conceals profound anguish in his heart but whose lips are so formed that as sighs and cries pass over them they sound like beautiful music."

It brought alive the feeling of the moment of writing ...
Once again another beautiful playlist Halidon Music. Thanks so much. Here is my verse, not the most romantic of subject matter, but it's meant to be metaphorical!
THE OLD BARN
There stands, the old barn
Rickety and arthritic,
Its tin roof now rusty with age,
Front and back doors, missing,
Like a toothless old man
A corridor for the wind.
Still, the old barn stands,
Grey and weathered now,
Forgotten by time,
But not by me...
Thank you for sharing your poem with us Ros, we love it! Memory can be a double-edged sword sometimes, anchoring us to the past and reminding us of time's unmerciful flow, but it also grounds us and holds together the experiences that make us who we are. The old barn now has more people who will remember it 💌

I'd never ask Taylor Swift what classical composer I should listen to, albet I'm aware she plays the piano...she produces garbage.
Sentiment noted, though.
We're aware of the similarity between our playlist's title and that of Taylor Swift's new album, but we promise it wasn't intentional. Also, her music may not be your genre but in our opinion it's far from something we'd call garbage 😊
