If you have ever played the bass you must see Claypool at least once. It's unreal. You can literally FEEL the notes rolling off of his fingers. It vibrates through your soul.
I've lost count of how many different times I've seen him. Not that the number is huge. But my memories from 1997-2012 are pretty cloudy. I believe it's around 8-10.

I was never a fan of Primus' sound but I have always had great respect for Les being one of the greatest bassists to ever live, as a bassist myself. This is new to me and feels very Tool which is awesome. One of the few recommendations from CZcams I appreciate.
I grew up listening to both Primus and Tool among many other bands whenever I saw my dad. I agree that this song has that sort of vibe even if the sound is different. Anyways, ended up buying tickets to see them with my dad before covid, finally saw them a few weeks ago in Cincinnati. This was the song they ended the night on after their second set for the Rush tribute and it was a really cool feeling in the pit as the song went on. Everyone was listening.

The Arena flooded and I ran from the lawn and started hopping seats till I got to the 5th row center stage while Neil Young was playing. The area started flooding and the power went out. Did Neil stop, Nope! They continued on until back up generators got started. They literally was playing by flashlights. Sparked up a hootie and soaked it in. The rain stopped and the second stage started with Primus. That was when the mud people where born. I will never forget that day.

OK, lots to cover here so lets get it on. Never heard of this group, and only with the closing credits did I know who they were... shocking... never coulda guessed. As for the song, the 1st half had me thinking I'd wasted my time; slow start... barely passable... and poorly sung. But I hung in there, and somewhere/somehow they got into a groove and it started sounding good. Next time, they should get right to the good stuff. FANTASTIC DRUMMER .
One of the few times I've watched a live performance on CZcams and said: "Give that sound guy a raise!"
