The level that Tim Alexander is playing at after having two heart attacks is amazing God bless him. And Tim has been so vital to my drumming career easily one of my biggest influences
@@3three3three3three theres footage of him and danny playing where you can definitely see danny smile at some of his fills, great appreciates great, herb just serves a much more nuanced community, i completely agree with you though, id love to see him in a more prog rock jazz scene, and based off the newest single, we'll at least get to see more prog stuff from him!
This is one of his best tunes ever and very personal.I remember going to a show in my my hometown of Perth,Western Australia. And it was done like this. Perfectly.
Loved primus since I was a young kid. Now 27 and about 5 years ago when my fiance bought me tickets to a concert they had nearby it was life changing. Best concert I've ever been too. The place was packed like fucking sardines and smelled like great weed. Good times.
i had the pleasure of seeing primus once, on a festival. the scorpions, sum 41 and some limp bizkit coverband was playing at the same time and it was lik 33c outside and primus played inside:P needless to say less then 100 people went to see primus. it was fucking awesome. they played great and i could actually see the artists for once.
And as usual Larry LaLonde was one of the first great metal guitarists and he was in the band possessed one of the original bands from the 80s that play Death Metal and he was their lead guitarist just another underrated guitarist like Alex lifeson
I’m 50 years young, a rocker all my life. But I slept on this band. Sure I heard the mainstream stuff, but never delved into the other stuff. These guys are scary good.
This movie will be a Christmas tradition in my house thanks to the dude who uploaded it on CZcams just long enough for me to rip it. I bought a ticket. If they release it as a concert film I will delete my pirate file. I vow to pay all the money that they want to charge for it and thus far I have. Why!? Why!?!!!!!! Why is this movie not available for purchase!?!? I want to cry for the people who didn't rip it.
To me there's not a better band the past 30 years and more significant to the music world then this Trio and they're the best to do it since Rush I also saw them open for rush in 1992 for sailing the Seas of cheese and roll the bones the greatest show I've ever seen. And I think this is the best drummer bass combo there is in music sorry Danny Carey and Justin Chancellor Yes I do believe that Tim Alexander is a better drummer than Danny Carey.
Sometimes live versions are better... Specially in closed-off environments like Pachyderm station! Perhaps a better studio than Les' own studio, judging by what they produce here.
Yes it is. And it's the classic lineup but not the original. I believe the Sausage line up might be the "original". They were before this lineup anyway. Les, Todd Huth & Jayski Lane.
@@Zizie_sc yes they did! I am not sure but there is a clip called "Animals should not try to act like people" you can find It on CZcams too. It shows the best moments of Primus and also appears some artists in this clip.
You get an elephant moving in any direction at significant speed and you've got a good single.
Pack the trunk
This is what the chemistry of a band looks like when they've been playing together as long as I've been alive. A pristine performance.
It's so dope, I love it!
Originality is hard to find... exactly why I love Primus.
The level that Tim Alexander is playing at after having two heart attacks is amazing God bless him. And Tim has been so vital to my drumming career easily one of my biggest influences
How did I miss this till now! These guys are legends!
They sure are
I'm a pretty newer fan I've obviously heard of Primus but I'm really getting into them now 25 years later LOL
@@ZackyDaley Primus, Soundgarden, Nirvana, and the Police, those were my #1 high school favorites!
@@ZackyDaley same here, man. They are amazing musicians. They're like a drug that hooks you in.
Nice pic lol
Herb is so incredible. His ability to rock with pocket is truly unique.
He makes it sound the way mushrooms feel.
he's definitely my favorite drummer. i feel like he comes from the same alien planet as bill bruford and danny carey
that's Herb...Herb the "Ginseng" Drummer

They are so good it's unreal. They just get better and better. The way there songs change and grow over the years is just spectacular. Primus rule!
I think it’s crazy at six minutes you think it’s over, but that’s when it really gets good!
This is one of his best tunes ever and very personal.I remember going to a show in my my hometown of Perth,Western Australia. And it was done like this.
Perfectly.
This is my favorite Primus song.I remember the first time I heard it. I was enraptured.
ENRAPTURED !! YESSSSS!! ❤😊
Herb, you kick-ass. THANK YOU!
I have no words…❤
Les Clay pool is The Bass Killer🔥🔥🔥🔥💪
Seen em live for 4 mad hours in Sydney in 2014....best gig ever
I LOVE THIS TUNE
Probably the best jam I will ever see.
They still got it.
Got this on cassette when Tales from the punchbowl came out in 1995.
I just got an old Polish bootleg copy of this album
Really?? Tape? Vinyl? Haha your comment really caught my attention. Seeing these guys in Charleston SC tomorrow night. CAN NOT WAIT.

How can anyone not appreciate their talents
Bad ass Les.
It is one of my favorit songs, from Primus.
So amazing, thanks for the upload.

Best bassist ever. Claypool is the g.o.a.t.

This is my favourite Primus song. Arguebly Les' best bass lines.
Well I was thinking about stopping by during the apple fair but now I know for sure I will 👍🏻

What I’d give for one well mixed performance
Wow this is so good thank you
anyone else get heavy HEAVY pink floyd vibes from this jam?
Testing their Meddle
I'd love to have known what Frank Zappa would have thought of Primus.
Hello Mr. Dog Dengler...I think that Frank Zappa would be glad listening to Primus... Yeeehaa 👍🤟👍...Grüsse aus dem Schwarzwald

Love it

Some Stranglehold vibes going on there
Pink Floyd Pompei vibes

anyone got the full show? willing to drop email
Ler’s Les Clay-Paul..
This is fuckin cool
No seas mamón, mire este video en ácido y estoy seguro que duraba más de 10 minutos :'v
Anyone else notice claypools bass has an EEAA or AAGG string setup???? I bet the neck is stressed out with that tuning
Any neck of Claypool must be stressed and abused to the max
Nope , it's usually standard or drop. Most of his basses are piccolo bass. Thiner strings, longer scale. That part of his unique sound
@NewGuyMedia-xe7bm yeah that's true. I mean he uses the gauges for those strings but still tunes standard
Is that Tim Alexander, if that’s the case this is the original members
I'm pretty sure

They played together in Colonal Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains.
Primus you guys should come play in east TN. Johnson City to be exact
Is that No Quarter thrown in?
you know, for primus, the robot camera in the middle of the set spying on their every move is oddly mundane.
