    I have HyperCKemia, my CPK levels in my blood is average of 600 most of the blood tests, my record is 1200 CPK. I have muscle hypertrophy and I don't exercise at all! I wake up every morning with muscle soreness like I have been in a gym the day before. My muscle are big and strong but can't provide more then a few minutes and shut down. I have geneticist in 6 month to see what is the reason. We suspect myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy.
    You video help me understand about it. Thank you for the excellent video.

    I do bodybuilding and heavy workout, my Creatine Kinase (CPK) level is 2600 U/L while i have no symptoms and no problem while my family doctor is saying its bad for your heart muscle, you need to see a doctor.
    But i watched some videos and found that CPK level can shoot up if you do heavy workout. So please help me is it normal??

    Hi, I am a 3rd yr med student from India, my CPK is too much high & was diagnosed with polymyositis last yr,, recently it was around 5000, although I am on corticosteroids, have improved much, can u pls tell me anything more effective to reduce these levels?

    • @MedicosisPerfectionalis
      @MedicosisPerfectionalis  Před 2 lety

      It really depends on what’s causing it. You can’t lower CPK effectively until you manage the underlying condition.
      Disclaimer: I am not a doctor. I just teach.

    Thank you so much for the video! I just had a few quick questions: At 10:56, does this mean that the shift from aerobic to anaerobic is a function of vasoconstriction?
    Would it then be correct to say something to the effect of "Anaerobic exercise is any activity which causes muscle contractions great enough to constrict the venous system to the point of inhibited reoxygenation"?

    There's no Lactic Acid formation in the muscle. Read the artile by Robergs 2004 - Biochemistry of muscle induced-acidosis. You're completely wrong in all biochemistry involved

    • @RK-hz7he
      @RK-hz7he Před 11 měsíci +1

      Paper doesn't say that muscle don't produce lactic acid rather it says that strenuous exercise induced acidosis is not due to lactic acid .

    • @tercioaraujo3416
      @tercioaraujo3416 Před 11 měsíci

      @@RK-hz7he Wow look at the brilliant mind who just showed up. I didn't write that the paper said anything. I said that there is no lactic acid formation in the muscle, and to support my statement I recommended the paper. However if you can prove it by biochemistry or even support the idea of lactic acid building up in the muscle at least show some scientific proof.
