I still return to your videos again and again!!! Some of the best tarot reviews and overviews on CZcams!! I really hope to see you return one day. Sending you all good wishes.
Totaly agree, some of the best if not the best reviews and joy and depths of understanding coming through...!
I loved every minute of this video. I'd ordered both the deck and book before I saw this review and now I'm even more excited for them both to arrive. Thank you!!
Oh wow, I missed watching your extensive reviews dear Elle! What a gorgeous deck too, love the classic artwork with the bright colors :-) yup!!! Thank you for making these beauties years ago, you simply are the best Tarot deck collector reviewer to me 💕✨
Thank you. So thorough and engaging, I learned quite a bit from your video. This deck is beautiful, I just ordered it. Thanks again for a wonderful walk through!!
Thank you for this review! :-) What a fascinating deck--and it is my first time hearing about it. A great parallel to Paul Huson's book and to the Estensi Tarot, both of which I now own. Seems like a fascinating deck to learn from!
oh yeah if u liked his book you'll love this deck! it's like a beautiful journey back in time. Thanks so much for watching my friend :) xo
Great review. Thank you for uploading 😊.
This is the best Tarot channel.
One of the reasons I adore this deck is that it lends itself to readers like me who tend to see Wands as Air and Swords as Fire. Plus, just look at it. Oh my goodness. Thanks for doing the review! :D
Best review award goed toooooo Sacred Seed! Thanks so much!
Love when Death cards are nameless in the remakes of old decks!
I can definitely see some influence from the codex manesse in this deck, and I do love the colors!
Love the bag you gave for this deck. I got this deck last year but I haven't used it intensively yet because I want to acquaint myself with the Etteilla meanings. I will have to check out the extended LWB from his website. I love that this deck has a Significator card. He also has great books on Witchcraft as well. Loved seeing the comparison from decks that he took inspiration from. There's a lot of depth in this deck.
yeah depth! that's it exactly. this deck is such a masterpiece. thanks for watching my friend :) xo
Yes, I had to have this deck as I like it that the four virtues are illustrated. Ordered and viewing with you. Interesting palette.
Why was my post censored by CZcams? I had printed nothing improper?
Great review! I have this deck and I love it!
awesome! yeah i feel like its kind of an underrated deck- it's really is an amazing accomplishment- and so beautiful. Thanks so much for watching :) xo
If I had to do that proverbial, 'I can only take five decks on a remote island' challenge, this would be one of my five. In fact, if I could only pick one deck this would probably be it. I have at least a hundred decks so that's really saying something. I enjoyed your commentary, you did it justice. Not many people have this deck or seem to use it so when I saw it on your feed I had to see what you had to say. Huson's books are among the best, I agree. And if I could only take one book on a remote island... Well, you get the idea. :)
beautiful! !
I love listening to you talk about the history of tarot. There was so much "false" history that has been debunked that many people don't realize how wonderfully serendipitous the real history of tarot is.
And now I really want to hold this deck!!
thanks darlin! oh I just love the rich history too! it's all so fascinating :)
Sacred Seed could you do a reading for me?
Oh dear, now I see that you did refer to to this. Sorry I missed that.
Where can I get an Etiella deck like that? Do you happen to know it's name. +Sacred Seed
I wonder what you think of the fact that Huson signs diamonds to the Wands suit and Club's to the Coins suit? It is usually depicted the other way around. Thanks for this, Anne
Unfortunately, I couldn't get past it and ended up rehoming the deck. It is beautiful, tho.
This is interesting deck~ Will you be making more videos?
The extended lwb is no longer available on wordpress. Is there anywhere else I can still get it?
Have you heard of a deck that's in development called the After Tarot? It looks in most part to be a novelty deck, but it seems like a really cool premise that it's based off of the idea that the cards are what happens to the characters next after the classic Rider-Waite tarot images have occurred. Definitely worth a look if you haven't already :)
oh it looks like such a cool deck- such a fun idea! You may have seen it already, but lo scarabeo has a preview video up for it- in case anyone is interested: czcams.com/video/R4PQEnLv5_8/video.html&app=desktop
Sacred Seed Hi Elle. Thank you for this walk through. What an interesting deck.
I read Paul Huson's book this Summer as I was travelling around Nothern Italy on a bit of a solo-tarot-nerd-tour :-). It was amazing seeing some of the original Visconti-Sforza cards and to visit an old d'este castle...among other things. I also managed to buy some pretty cool historical reproduction decks, and met some fantastic tarot-passionate people. I've been thinking about doing a wee video about it...a little show and tell.
Thanks again, Elle.
Much love,
Callie
omg wow that sounds like an amazing trip!! I would love to take a "tarot tour" like that one day!! and Huson's book was probably so perfect for it too. please do make a video or something about your adventure- I'd love to hear more! thanks so much for watching my friend :) xo
But! Don't clubs literally mean batons or wands. Like a club as a weapon? I don't get why etteilla switched those two suits.
Hey guys! Does anyone know who won the deck giveaway?
not just yet... only me...muwaahaa lol. I'm gonna film the winner video tomorrow after work... ;)
I think that devil card is Asmodeus. He has chicken feet. lol.
