  • No one should be denied access to legal services based on their background, ability status, or gender expression. Most attorneys in California share the values of equity, inclusion, and fairness that make our Golden State great. But what happens when an attorney fails to uphold these standards? Rule 8.4.1. of the CA Rules of Professional Conduct prohibits attorneys from unlawful discrimination and enables the State Bar of California to prosecute violations of this rule to protect the public.
