The less poundage on your line the deeper your bait will dive. The longer your rod, the more likely you'll slap the water with the tip but you'll get longer casts.
Everytime I watch his VIDEO's. He never shows what he is fishing with. A Smoke S3 PT. Or ACCURIST PT S3. Vapor or Icon. Tour or just a Pulse and what rod he's using. Shawn
What's wrong with that. It's a 7 to 1 ratio. One turn of the handle 360 degrees = 7 turns of the spool. The spool circumference is about 4" or so. 7 times 4" is 28"

Or early 2000’s. Either way the Rapala X-Raps came out a long time ago and are still relevant and sold still to this day!

No but it certainly helps to allow you to get to deeper water so there’s enough depth for it to not get hung up on grass or hit bottom.
