  • This is a clear and concise video going over the different aspects of the Return to Home (RTH) feature on the DJI Mini 3 Pro for beginners, with a few amazing tips at the end.
    The RTH feature is very precise and useful, so there's no need to panic if you lose your drone in the sky. You can rely on the return to home function and the drone will fly back. There are 3 types of Return to Home, and I will go through each one in this video.

    Great tutorial for every drone rookie! Many won't listen and will lose their drones but hopefully not many. This is a fun but expensive hobby and they need to respect all the important information being shared.

      Yeah for sure! I have seen a few beginners flying recklessly, ignoring all the regulations and then they end up crashing or losing their drones. I’m glad you find the tutorial useful!

    Very good video - I kind of get the impression with this DJI Mini Pro 3 (having used it about 7 or 8 times) that it's somewhat like a "faithful dog" that will always return home to its owner. However, dogs - we know - are not perfect (just like their owners....) - equally this drone, I suspect, may eventually let me down as regards returning home - having said that, the more I learn about it - through videos like this - should reduce the chances of that happening.

    Thank you for your informative video. could you share how to manually change the return to home location on the RC

      Hello, thank you for the question. You can do this by opening the settings on the screen and then clicking on safety. After that, there should be an ‘Update Home Point’. Press that and then your home point will be updated to where the RC currently is. I hope this helped.

      By “settings”, he meant the 3 dots in the top right corner of the screen.
      3 dots > Safety > Update Home Point
      You can either change the home point to where the RC is (your location) or where the drone is at.
      It’s the same with the RC-N1 and the RC

    I always wonder what if your rth altitude isn't high enough, and it runs into something. Seems logical that it would try to go higher. Do you know anything about this? Nice video.

    • @takeoffdrones
      @takeoffdrones  Před měsícem +1

      Thanks for reaching out! If the RTH altitude is set too low, then on the Mini 3 Pro / 4 Pro the obstacle avoidance sensors will sense that there is an obstacle in the way and raise altitude automatically. On drones which don’t have obstacle avoidance like the Mini 2, they won’t be able to sense an obstacle. However, if they lose signal to the controller, they automatically raise higher to try and regain signal. Hope this helped!
