I dont like to reduce the 6030 either. I am using a 1.3 at 1.8 bar. spray one semi wet coat. let it dry to sticky. then recoat with full wet 75% slow overlap. and it flows like GLASS...to almost NO ORANGE PEEL. No die back at ALL... super shiny. Love that Clear.....thanks Tony for telling me about it. Sprayed out some jams with it and they are superb.
Hi, can i ask you which hardener do you use? The uhs6054/55/56 or the hs 6033/6035/6037?
@@cristianb.4135 mostly the medium. It does work in hot weather. I found the product does not like accelerator. So i use the medium. If your doing an overall complete in really hot weather you might want the slow. Near 100 degrees F....The medium is great and flashes off quickly. But the product does not close up totally. It will be almost dry to touch but next coat still melts in. It is super awesome stuff. Never sprayed anything like it. super easy to get a flawless finish.
@@Mikefngarage i was asking because here in Italy i can only found It with the hs version(6033/6035/6037) of hardener, which is the "low solid". In the TDS says that can be used also with the low voc UHS hardener...
I could watch you spray all day Tony. You make it look so effortless. Basically down to you and your great instruction / videos I successfully repaired and resprayed a salvage write off mini countryman (chilli red ! albeit blue hint) and that included replacement second hand panels, filler repairs and prep, and every combination of paint (high build primer, epoxy primer, 2k, water based and clear) and paint finish (desirable and undesirable), until eventually i got there. And I bought compressors guns etc. But it was a fanatastic learning curve and I thank you. Just wished I lived a bit closer. If ever your on your way to Falmouth.....
Thank you for the video! The heat has been brutal here as well in the booth!
I'll have to dig out my 300 not used it for ages forgot i had it lol. I left a job outside to bake this week and wished i hadn't it went rock solid and was pig to buff . Nice job Tony👍
Awesome tutorial 👌 👍🏿 👏
Ha we get those temps here in Aus around 4 to 5 months straight !!! We struggle in the colder months !
Hi Tony, huge thanks for doing this vid mate as I know you were really up against it this week with the weather being so hot I really didn't expect you to get one up🙏
Enjoyed the live chat last night even though it was a bit quieter than usual, you did a fantastic job getting the finish on the Mini so flat and glassy it must have been difficult to achieve in those temps but the WS400 laid it on really nice, I'm looking forward to your review on this gun as I'm hoping this will be my next one🤞🤞
Thanks again mate and go careful in this heat🙏👍
thank you Tony for this short video very informative for me
Glad you enjoyed it
Lovely job as per normal mate looks fantastic
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi Tony, Many thanks for all the great info and for taking the time to make the video's they have been so helpful. A question if I may. What method and materials do you use to clean epoxy primer from your spray gun/s
Hey Tony hope your well mate..definitely glad the weather has cooled down..not been nice in the booth…can I ask was the clear ok using fast hardner in that heat?I get confused with hardner choices and thinners..cheers mate 👍
Thanks for the video Tony.
Any time!
Top work 👏
Thank you 🙌
One word brother nice !!!!!
Appreciate it!
Quick question to yourself and all other painters who follow you, where I work we burn our booth floor sweepings but we are looking to gain certain green accreditations, so just wandering what everyone else does with them considering they can go on fire in warm days
Nice work.
Thanks!
Silly question.... What is the definition of 'Full Fluid'?
I noticed the innermost part of the bumper looks really shiny. Did you sand it? I’ve asked the question on a forum about flicking the clear out onto un-sanded clear. Presumed it had been done on previous repairs to my car as I encountered a clear edge whilst prepping a panel. No peeling had occurred. Told on forum never to paint over un-sanded/un-scuffed clear. Is this information wrong? Thanks.
Hallo , how is kapci clear coat ? Is good? Is hard to polish ?
That’s a beautiful finish there…now grab an ice cream and find some shade
👍👍👏👏👏🌺🌺🌺
That's a Countryman. Not a Clubman. Sweet paint..
You are not legal allowed to use base coat on that type of car only classic cars what you doing is illegal
