I almost feel like they think metal and medal are the same word. Award was a really bad clue for metal, but i think that was what was confusing Sam and why it wasn't making sense to her.

Girls & Co. walking in needing both the W and a +22 point diff., and walking out with a +43 point win is the most astounding performance in the history of JomBoyMedia's Gameshow League (or JGL, no way that acronym is already taken). This will go down as JGL's version of the 2004 Redsox/Yankees series. There's no chance G&C lose the championship game now that they've established this kind of momentum.

I side with the ruling. Consider the premise of the game: "Password." If you were guarding a door, and asked for the password (which you knew was "metal" which only authorized people could konw), and they confidently presented their answer the way Girls & Co did, you'd let them in the door without question.

Absolutely no points should of been awarded to Girls Co. For MEDAL. METAL is a completely different word, with a different meaning. Accents, skew the T and D sound. It's met-al not med-al

No controversy for metal…Paxton said metal is material for steel, metal plate which Penik was referring to, and then Taylor said award so that they stayed with the similar word to medal.
Nah doesn’t count medal is not metal. And if the clue giver wanted they could have given medal as the clue since it is a different word. And jimmy even said that it seemed like pax was saying medal
@@jonjon6459 yeah, BUT I think Taylor gave ‘award’ as a clue to make sure they stuck with metal. The ‘award’ could be made out of metal or can be a medal. And given that the previous clues led to ‘metal’, ‘award’ was a good clue
These were tough clues.
But also if you say 2 words and it wasn't the answer you should just lose your turn I don't see why they needed to go to a new word.
